Really enjoying what you have done here guys :thumbsup: Played some last night was lucky enough to get a chinook up and running,did a few missions of picking people up and transporting them around but a bandit killed me near NE airfield...ah well....had some fun and really loved the lighting in the streets now the whole atmosphere changes to another level and for me makes playing in the night more of a pleasure than a pain and the zombies are definitely a threat in those numbers. :beans: Got on this morning and met up with 2 friendlies in Cherno (Lukus and JohnnyRodger) and got a little bird up and running and we managed to get ourselves some nice guns from heli crash sites and even found another little bird which we was in the middle of refueling before the server went down :( Look forward to playing some more with v1.04 and maybe the little birds will be there still or another db wipe? :P Oh and did i read that after you clear an area of zombies they shouldn't respawn for an hour?....not sure that was right as we took care of zombies in an area and they respawned quite quickly? Anyway.....see you all on the server some more soon, beans all round :beans:

Bit of a shame i was flying a heli then :( :lol: Ah well i spawned back in the game minus the heli but found a nice stash of 5 of vehicles and i might have just borrowed one for now so if someone is missing there nice shiny UAZ it was me :P

IP wasn't found on the ban list either :huh: but i have contacted my host and i now have access to the bans.txt to edit manually,Also my host says the banlist may not have been merging properly so that may have caused some problems my end too...thanks for replying :D

Tried this but the banned GUID does not show up in the ban list but i have seen the player try to login and still says Admin Ban......

I've also banned someone by mistake tonight since DaRT never refreshed the players while i was in the banning process and when i access the ban list the mistaken banned GUID is not even there but the player is still banned?...not sure whats going on here so would like an easy UNban GUID option in the execute if at all possible, i know Bercon has the removeBan [ban #] but if i can't see the GUID on the ban list i can't find the ban # to remove ban. :( Also i would just edit the ban.txt file if i had access to it but the host we use doesn't provide that option :(

This used to happen on our server sometimes,the admins should do a restart and it should revert itself to the correct time if it's set up properly.

Must say i did laugh quite a lot watching that one :lol: have some beans :beans:

1. Ah didn't realise i could do commands, used to everything being a click of the button,i better learn some commands now then. 2. I have had DaRT running while the same person has logged in with different names on the same GUID but DaRT has only logged one name in the DB as well as some names not appearing when i do a search for them in the DB they are not there.....Maybe a problem my end with DB problem? Unless anyone else has this issue to confirm. Again thanks for taking the time to continue with DaRT, the community of admins really need a tool like this so i am happy to donate :thumbsup:

Loving the program so far, so thanks for making it :beans: :thumbsup: One thing i like to use on Arma2 Rcon that i can't see here is the ability to do a few commands like "Add ban" and "Set Max ping" i can add a ban if the GUID is in my database but some players do not always show up in there for some reason? so i get the GUID from Rcon and have to ban it using that utility and not Dart so if there was a way to just add a ban that way instead of having to click on a name to get them banned it would be a nice addition :D otherwise i seem to be running both at the same time to make sure i get the right GUID/player before i take action. Thanks again for your time and effort involved i will be sending a donation very shortly to show appreciation B)

WOW! fantastically quick response time in setting a server up for us, all up and running now,locked the server for a short time now while i just iron out a few settings in game then the server will be live to all to enjoy :) Thanks Soppa great service so far B) :beans: Will also be requesting the Bounty hunter reporter and top 5 DC kings ASAP via a support ticket......just the thing an honest admin needs to keep a fair server :thumbsup:

Message Of The Day :) If you rent your server as i do (vilayer) you have 4 lines where you can type what you like to appear when people first join the server. If you have a designated server you need to change the MOTD in the server.cfg file.

Not possible, it was taken out by the devs.

Definitely would like to see this completed i'm currently using Arma2 Rcon and it is just about usable but from your notes i can see your program will be a lot better so please do make this with top priority, I would also be willing to make a donation to you if the program runs as good as it sounds when completed :thumbsup:

Unfortunately this happened on our server too and as admin there was nothing we could do to stop it then or even if it happens again....best i could do was to shut the server off ASAP for a short time and hope the hacker goes elsewhere,but there is nothing to stop him coming back since i have no idea who it was and no way of knowing either unless someone knows what to look for in the log files for suspicious activity?

That is correct unfortunately :( a friend of mine got shot and killed when i put the server back on after the hack outbreak, shame that these players don't get banned easier by battleye without admins having to trawl through endless logs and then not really having definite proof we get the right guy banned >:( and if by chance we make a mistake or even do ban the hacker without proof we may get blacklisted in doing so, something needs to be done about this soon or nobody will bother to run a DayZ server if our hands are tied too much :o

I am admin at LU30 and someone PM'd me there was a hacker in the server last night but i'm not sure there's much i can do about this :( i checked the server log but i can't see anything unusual but i may not know what to look for in the logs if someone can tell me what i may need to look for i may be able to at least find the hackers name/guid and get him banned. This is the first time it's happened on our server but the way things are i doubt it will be the last so if there is a way to at least find the people behind the hacking via checking logs/battleye please can someone let us know so we can take action against this.

My Server is back up and running (LU30) :) Thanks to EVERYONE at Vilayer we knew you'd get there in the end but it is hard to not have your fix of DayZ for even one day ;) but all is good again you can all take a breather and get some rest after the last 48hrs and hopefully Lee is in good shape after his surgery :) Take care Vilayer team we DO appreciate the amount of man hours you put into making this game as good as it can be for the end user and your assistance with the dev team on making Vilayer the best hoster out there! I've been in and out of the Vilayer teamspeak server all day and nobody has been around to talk to :( ts3.vilayer.com

LU30 still offline and no access to my ACP although it may need Vilayer to reboot the server there end before i can access it again?

My server is still down and i have no way of getting it back up since the ACP panel is still inactive along with a few others i am seeing there servers are still down,not sure this is Hive related or not?

I also had a 5 second delay between each MOTD so they are less of a rush to read, also when doing a server restart recently my time in game has been thrown right out of what it should have been (-6 gmt) and i haven't touched the changeservertime.bat since it has been added so now my server is not running -6 gmt and i'm not sure how to change it back. And i can't now have the NT=0 showing the server has no nametags when in game either which is annoying. Please can you look into this for me and move the server back to it's preferred time setting of -6 gmt whatever happens on restart? With some bad comments aimed towards the Vilayer team lately i would like to put some input of my own. I've recently purchased a 40 slot server from them and have had a few minor issues with the set up which have now been resolved and hopefully will not return and i have to say Lee and Johnny where always there to give the support to me and my server while i was having these problems. I found the ticket support was usually answered within a day but sometimes issues where not fully resolved so i decided to go to there teamspeak server and must say this option is by far the best way to go if you need help in any way regarding your server. Having said that i only found the address for the teamspeak server by luck on reading every post in this thread so think it would be a wise decision to promote your teamspeak server more openly on your support pages to make it easier for guys like me to get the correct help we need if we have problems. ts3.vilayer.com All said and done i am extremely happy i chose Vilayer over a number of other choices out there and will continue to run my server through these guys.
