    GDC Online Awards

Excuse my ignorance, but can't you just delete the old assets causing artifacts and create new ones? I mean...body bags and tents. Seems easier to just recreate them.
  2. I want an ending. You get rescued and then start a new character. Would be very rare and require a lot of work, but possible. Object of the game is survival right? Well, people get rescued and survive. Servers could track how many times you have been rescued, not just how many zombies you've killed. Most of what I have thought of has been suggested... More vehicles, less gas. Better animations, large roaming hordes of zombies. .22 rifles/pistols. Fortification, group tagging, radios. Underground areas/large indoor areas (airport/stadium/hotel) A logical hydrography network (rivers/lakes/natural pools/pipelines/ditches/aqueducts) Realtime weather across all regional servers. If it is winter IRL, it is f'n winter. Not always snowing, but you need to be aware of the elements and adjust accordingly. In summer you need to hydrate more and get fatigued quicker etc... Fatigue! Weight based inventory system. Hell, a brand new inventory interface system as well. I do like pen/paper idea. Would love to leave and read notes for/from other players. MOAR! melee weapons. Please. Varied outdoor locations. How about a golf course? An amusement park? Zoo? Mix it up a bit please. Dangerous animals. Lions, tigers and bears. Oh my!

    Zombie respawn time too fast

Yes, zombie spawns are way too fast. Agreed.

    Getting turned into a sheep

It's funny watching it, but I can feel your pain. Especially if your character has been alive for a while. Freakin hacking is out of hand. Makes the mod unplayable.

    US 588 - Pop Pop & Map/ESP Hackers

For owners of US 588, is there some kind of schedule the server is on? Seems to be offline quite a bit and that's our favorite one. Any info would be helpful, and am willing to donate if you need any help. Thanks!

I will never be a bandit. Survivor nice-guy stories

Short story about how bandits suck. Was going towards an isolated low yield cabin when another player started running towards it down the middle of a track with a xbow. He was bleeding out bad. He went into the cabin, I followed him. I typed and said I will bandage you and give you food. No response. Went in slowly, he shot a bolt at me and barely missed. So I tried to talk to him again, I know you are bleeding in there, please let me help you. Juked in and he missed me AGAIN with a bolt. Well, that was his last one. Waited for a minute, then started hearing those flies. Went in and checked to see what he had. Didn't have much. Buried his body and moved on. I tried to help so many times. I think a lot of players don't even try or pay attention to voice/typed communication at all. They don't care. Just want to go in and kill things. If their health gets below 7k or something, they don't care and expect to respawn in a minute. It;s like they don't even try to to survive. Freakin' bandits are too many. I will always be a survivor, always.

Another radio idea...but hear me out.

I agree. Surviving is the objective, right? So if you get rescued, you have achieved your objective of surviving and then can start another character. Keep track of how many times you survived and have leaderboards for it. Maybe somehow encourage cooperative play to achieve survival. If you kill someone and they have a piece of the radio, it is damaged and unusable. Just....something I guess. I love this game, but I hope it goes in a more cooperative direction than a deathmatch one like its current state.

Another radio idea...but hear me out.

Ok cool. Searched "radio" but could not find anything related to what I described. I think its a good idea.
  9. Ok. So there is a rare repairable radio in the world of dayZ. The radio is just a receiver. You cannot talk or anything, just hear an emergency broadcast. To hear this broadcast, you need to be above a certain elevation and have a clear line of sight to the sky. The broadcast will then have a time and place there will be an extraction to safety, but will only send that broadcast out every few days. Extraction could be by sea, air or land. Could make it so it is out in the sea, so you need a boat to access it. Just make it very difficult to get to with only a short window before it leaves. If you can make it to the extraction alive and on time, that's it. End of game. Make a new survivor. Instead of servers keeping track of how many kills, it would keep track of how many survivors you have successfully made it to safety. Or keep track of both. This to me would help cure the boredom people get after they have already done everything. What do people do when they get bored? Just go out and try to find players to kill without even needing any supplies. This would be a more realistic spin on the world of dayZ IMO. Tell me what you think.
  10. My friends updates using six launcher They have latest beta now too So, good news for launcher users!
  11. So does six launcher update beta patch to latest version now?
  12. First time upgrading beta for me, I upgraded to 95054 with a server that matched. I spawned where I left off with all my gear. Loading is MUCH faster for me now. Haven't been able to play extensively, will post more later tonight.
