Another just-for-trolling idea. No point in a theorical RL zombie apocalipse to takes hostages. For what? money? chernarus independence?. No, just for trolling. Just like the "poisoning lakes" idea. And satchel charges, and UAVs, and artillery attcks... (not ironic, peoplehad actually requested those things in the forum). I cannot understand why anybody would like to take the initial dayz mature idea and convert it in an all cheats activated bf3.

Holding "R" prevents player to press "D". So it is not an option. UmBe's way is the right one. Good idea OP.

It may be a good idea, but I don't like OP's approach. Take a look to Arma 2 multiplayer. You ca.n take a chopper. If you are not skilled enough, you may kicked for crash the heli. People will tell you "use the f****** editor and learn2fly". Finding manuals in the SA may u give acces to a sort on mini-games to gain certain skills, but always from the game menu, not in the game.) -
A player in him first time in a FPV server: Same player in a 3PV server: If you have time, watch second video entirelly, and then tell me people don use 3DP to exploit the magic flying camera. Please, post a 3DP DayZ firefight without peeking over corners/walls.

Agreed, but high military weapons should be removed (cz550 as top high) and none military gadgets (wind checkers, tripods, nv googles and all those stuff). -
Imagine that enemy-on-map, map marks, peripherical dots and tagnames were toggleable. What would happen?. "Enemy on map gives you more awareness of the enviroment". "Traveling without map marks get me disoriented". "I don't use peripherical dots as an exploit. It just give me a better perception of the world". "Tagnames is essential. I don't use it to find other players. I use it because due to the lack of stereoscopic vision, I need a way to recognise how far are the objects". "Just GTFO and play in another server". "Servers with these features on represents the 99%, so people like it".

I don't know what they are. I got a slow DSL and 1k of zombies in Cherno would be unplayable in my (and another's) system. The map is really, really big people.

I must be living in a parallel universe. Maybe because I live in a rural village and physics don't rules here. I can hear my neighbor's foodsteps through an opened window when the road is 15metres away. When I take my dogs for a walk through the forest, I cannot hear my dogs running at 20m (they are pretty heavy) while I'm walking over the grass. If I stop, I can hear them walking over the grass at 50m. I want you to ask yourselves "is it realistic" before asking for "realistic improvements". Because I cannot really spot people at 400m while I'm jogging due to the "unrealistic" real life's headbob. I cannot phrone in the grass in less that 1 second as I saw in the standalone footage videos (a very tiny stone can hurt you seriously). I know is hard to hear foodsteps in a real life's city, which is very noisy. The problem is the lack of enviroment sounds in Arma 2. Try the JSRS sound mod and you will realize how foodsteps get covered with wind, wildlife and other enviromental sounds. (JSRS mod doesn't work in DayZ. Just play vanilla or search JSRS in youtube).

5.56x45 is not designed to kill, is designed to injure. That's why NATO forces adopted it. If you see two enemies and hit one with a 7.62 bullet, the other one will try to kill you. If you see two enemies and hit one with a 5.56 bullet, the other one will try to save him.

[DayZ SA] Car Locking, Keys, and Alarms - Realistic Vehicles

I was in Djibuoti (northeast Africa) and the major part of taxi drivers didn't need any key to turn on the motor. The just rub two wires. Seriously, search "djibouty taxi driver" in google or youtube. Djibouti is a very-very poor place. I could imagine that a zombie apocalypse enviroment would be a little-MUCH worse. Also, sometimes i have problems to find my own car key in my house. No keys, no alarms, not in this dayz world. Maybe... it would be nice that you must have a toolbox to use vehicles. -
Damn Jan Pražák for him "3pv is more realistic coz I see what is happening around my character". Yes, he said that. Yes, he is an "Arma 2" developer. So it must be true... As in this topic like in all those "1pv vs 3pv" over and over again "3pv is more realistic for awareness". More than 10 times in this topic I can read "I can see what my characters is doing". What do you mean?. Can you not see reloading, phronig, saluting, peeking, healing, repairing, whatevering in 1st person view?. Do I got a cheated Arma 2 engine?. Damn you a billion times Jan Pražák. I love you for the game, I really love you much for this great game (DayZ is a very little part in my usage of Arma 2. CTI Warfare+@JSRS is the best part of this game for me)... but damn you till the end of time for your poor excuse. Give us an aerial view!!! the more higher, the merrier, more realistic!!. Better awareness, I can see what is my character doing... and what more? Oh yes, head bobbing sickness. Despite FOV and head bobbing is heavily locked (using notepad? what am I? An engineer?)... yes... i do feel that sickness after 10 hours playing Warfare Benny Edition. Sure I could play 24h if I use 3pv. People have spoken: +90% of DayZ servers are 3dp:on... nothing to argue about this... but it is one thing I want to say: Rainbow Six Saga till Raven Shield: played by a bunch of freaks. Rainbow Six: Lockdown & Vegas: better animations, 3pv, health regeneration: R.I.P. Rainbow Six. (Same for Ghost Recon Saga till Island Thunder).

If you want to enjoy DayZ (standalone or not), you're doing it wrong. Don't get attached to your gear. -
Dreygar, stop trolling. The "aerodinamic" shape of the bullet is the same from top that from botton. The shape of the bullet is meant to minimize air resistance. Don't compare with plane wings, whitch are made to create a low-pression flow over the wing and a high pression flow below to rise the wing. In the case of a bullet, the pression of the air flow above and below are exactly the same= no rise, no drop. Also, the bullet spins to gain stability (gyroscope effect) preventing the bullet to tilt and then rise, down or deviate in any direction. Arging about bullets rise because of their aerodinamic shape is just insulting.

404 Physics knowledge not found. Friction mate. The bullet ONLY initially rise because the barrel is pointed up. As soon the bullet leaves the muzzle, friction + gravity do their job.
