thats interesting. most people that have done this using a radeon card had no problems with this working for them. can i ask what type of frames youre getting now anyway and if you record what program youre using -

i dont really get any freezes, what i think you were seeing is the first stutter that usually happens after i start recording and its matching the frames per second at the amount i cap it at. the rest runs perfect. -

thanks for the info. its interesting to see it working on some and not others. the only thing we've nailed it down to is people using a third party launcher of day z instead of steam. -

Also an interesting side note to this is that if youre using a third party launcher to launch with these settings it will automatically set the config file back to default settings. you must launch the game from steam for this to work for you. -

honestly last time i used a mac was when they had floppy disks and one mouse key and ran off C prompt commands only. maybe someone else can shed some light. what i do know is that changing the value of the max rendered frames means that its rendering frames closer to you only and not 4000 frames away. hope that helps. -

well you said you have a pentium dual core 2.1 ghz processor...that seems like it might be a tad low to run ARMA. the fact that youre getting 15-22 frames is actually pretty good from what ive seen similar computers do
