Hi how are you launching the game? via steam or via another program, if you launch by steam or just directly and try to connect to the same server do you get Connecting failed? if so join the rest of us in http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/36686-connecting-failed/ because I get suck on wait for host if i launch via 6 updater or dayz commander -
Ricky not at present, but it seems at least we have a more specific error now than "connecting failed" and we know its not just a Dayz issue, so the more data we collect the more BIS/DayZ devs can see and hopefully use to sort the issue!

Cheers Caddrel, just had a look in my ArmA2OA.RPT file NAT Negotiation failed (NNThink - result 2) be interesting to see if everyone else is getting that too fyi its located here: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\ open it with notepad and scroll down to find the latest errors

Not as of yet Ricky, I'm hoping the more people we get active in this thread the more chance there is we will find a fix or one of the dev's will look into it! so get those 7 guys in here! Yes its very annoying I've not been able to play properly for about a week and a half now but its an Alpha and although I'm pretty miffed about it I understand its in an early dev cycle.

Ricky, chances are using a newer beta patch ( which you have to for dayz) or new BE ( again you have too) may one day fix this issue, it may be server side, it may be client side who knows. Andrewbrownster, I very much doubt you will lose anything, this issue doesn't cause you to die ( well unless we reach the character time out but I think that a month??)

you might want to use http://se1.dayz.nu/latest/ rather than uk1, seems to update quicker! -
hmm not sure then Skkludde! its an odd one in general! if anyone one who has a server running getting these issues e.g. sincoza or Hudson please can you consult the server logs and see if there is any mention of a connection attempt, if there is maybe there is also an error or series or errors that may point to the problem

yea its really weird! if you can get them to try the steps I mentioned and see what happens, and maybe post here, the more people we get in one place with the issue, the more chance we have of fixing it or getting help from the devs

Scottyboy and Svardskampe I suggest you try the things I mentioned earlier in regards to the connecting issue, in terms of your mouse problems I have no idea, perhaps you both have the same mouse /mouse driver/laptop/whatever thats causing this, either way its a very unusual separate issue!

HI SSKludde, Can't help with that, its an entirely different issue by the look of it, id recommend making a separate post for that one! but you could try fully removing battleye with the uninstall tool then starting from scratch? on another note seems to be happening on more servers than ever for me today! can still get on some but more often than not I cant!

did you copy the arma 2 beta exe from that folder to the main folder? also whats your steam run perimeters ?

Hi Svardskampe! Can't help you with the mouse one never come across that before! have you got some sort of weird gaming mouse? and have you checked your in game mappings? other than that I cant help with mouse problems and would keep that to a separate thread! for your connection issues please try what I posted earlier!

Hi Snooken, do you live near anyone with both of them on steam? you could do a steam backup and shove it on an external drive!? Hudson yea its a pain, its a none descript error.

Hi Snooken! I think my issue is slightly differnt to yours as I can connect to most servers, just not certain ones which is odd! what have you tried to fix it? here's what I did Check port forwarding remove and reinstall BE manually remove and reinstall OA beta reinstall ARMA 2 free, Reinstall OA remove everything including Dayz, and reinstall no joy so far! on latest BE and latest OA beta!

I imagine this is the connecting Failed error, which when launched on 6 launcher or Dayz commander just stays as Wait for host! -
Hi Disorder! What have you tried to resolve it?? My suspicion is an incompatibility in the new version of BE and the Arma 2 beta (I may be wrong though), Although it didn't work for me I would recommend reinstalling BE yourself manually to see if it works ( as I know of it sorting the issue in a couple of instances)

Confirmed latest Beta makes no difference to this issue! Can anyone from the Dayz team please provide suggestions, or liaise with Bis as I keep seeing more and more people with this issue!
