Caddrel there was an issue with gamespy that gave most people connecting failed error's about the same time i made this post! the issue still appears to be with gamespy! hopefully there will be a fix for that too soon!

If its a Lan issue I would yes, I would also recommend testing Plain arma2 the same way to see if its a problem with that or with Dayz, why would you want a lan game anyway though?

Not sure about Lan issues Senz0, this is strictly about issues connecting to games hosted on the Internet

Was talking to a server host earlier, he thinks its to do with Gamespys "heartbeat" apparently you can get really bad problems at the moment if you host more than one server per physical box/ip

I know of other servers that dont show in 6 launcher, so would be interested to know the reason for this

Just to reiterate this certainly inst fixed for everyone, it's more than possible there are 2 separate issues masking as one here, the issue with game spy which has been effecting people over the past day or so and a longer running issue with the same problems and symptoms e.g. I have had this issue for over a week now

I wouldn't agree I find it clunky and it gives me performance issues, Dayz commander is preferable for me! however thats besides the point, say you join a game via 6 updater and your friend comes on and says join me on server X why should you have to close the game to switch to that server!

left mine on wait for host for about 40 mins now, Guess it wont work :P

mine appears to stick on wait for host, I'm going to leave it for 10-15 see what happens, not getting my hopes up as I tried this last week with no results

Good mate, shame not for everyone! This is an ongoing Issue, using 6 launcher/updater is NOT a fix its a workaround Glad someone got Dwarden's attention He was too busy when I asked!!

Ricky when this first happened a few people I know managed to get in after updating battle eye which is why i suggested it! :) The server I was playing on isn't listed on 6 launcher for some reason, if anyone can give me the name of a confirmed none working server I will test it tomorrow as I'm off home now

yea its weird, great that it works for some people but its no solution really! thanks again for the detective and testing work you have done so far, hopefully it will be useful to the devs if they read this
