I just got the ATV I was on unstuck. It was on it's side and my buddy who was on it with me shot out the two tires that were against the ground. I rocked it toward the ground to get the ATV to start popping up and it eventually slid upright. I tried driving it at that point but just ended up going in circles like I was stuck on something, and then POOF! The two severed wheels reappeared and the ATV was fully repaired. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I have to unlock 95% of the weapons available so the Armory isn't a very viable option for those of us who solely play DayZ. :/

I'm a bad sniper, but that's because I got my first sniper rifle yesterday and the only practice I've had with it is popping off zombies. ThatGuyCalledReptile mentioned an Armory that people can practice with their new guns in? How do I access this armory to practice?

Based on the situation of your buddy being at 1900 blood and bleeding meanwhile a hostile was making his way up to your buddy - I would have done this same thing. Cool story :)

A bandit is one who never gives mercy nor expects it in return. They operate based on the "kill or be killed" and "shoot first ask questions never" mentalities. To a bandit: this game is a pvp game only... the zombies are just an obstacle therein.

I've been playing with a few of these guys lately and they're good people. Mature and level-headed. Looking forward to seeing more recruits like myself who are interested in joining up with them.

There's usually zombies anywhere that there is loot. You've probably gone through areas that have (very recently) been cleared out by other players. Have you at least seen dead zombie bodies?

Coastal bandit = a bandit who can't get action anywhere else. It's extremely unsatisfying to make the trek up to Starry or one of the airfields only to find that you're the first one to spawn the zombies.

Back on topic... Today a pal and I shot 1 guy dead in the military tents in Starry. His 3 friends ran up the hill a few minutes later while I attempted to take more of them out (unsuccessfully). My friend and I made our way up north and ended up behind them near the northern deer stand (about 200-300 meters north of Starry just along the tree line). My friend took cover behind a downed tree and proceeded to open fire on all three of them who were oblivious to our presence. My friend got credit for all 3 kills but only 1 body lie dead on the ground when the dust settled. The other 2 disconnected... I can't wait to play the polished version of this game when they have already concocted and implemented a solution to DC'ers who are too scared to take a death like a man and start over again.

The other day I was in Elektro and I happened to run south across the street in front of the church that's right next to the supermarket when I noticed another player running from 2 zombies toward me out of the corner of my eye. I ran to the corner of the fence and proned while I watched the guy run into the church to take cover from the zombies. No doubt he saw me. I hugged the corner of the door and watched him take out 1 zombie with his crossbow and start reloading another bolt. Before he could take the other one out I leaned over and popped him with 2 revolver rounds to end his life. tldr version: I kill people in churches because I know they'll kill me in churches.

=HA=Longhorn_Lapis and I had just finished up looting the military tents in Starry when we decided to go to the supermarket for new packs and supplies. While inside, Lapis heard footsteps behind and we saw zombie aggro so we chased up the south hill into the open plain. We hid behind the rock for cover only to notice a group of four headed north into Starry. We waited for them to cross over the hill into Starry before we retraced our steps back to the hill just over the supermarket. We proned and watched as they raided the market and headed over to the tents. Lapis headed over to the factory while I crawled across the street and up the hill overlooking the tents. I had a clear shot down the tent corridor while the 4 man group raided the tents. One of them proned down in the middle of all of the tents in plain sight (stupid idea) so I took him out with my Lee Enfield. The rest of them hid in the tents for a while and scrambled up the hill to the north of the tents. I crawled my way back down to the supermarket and around to the factory to meet up with Lapis. We didn't see them on the hill so we started moving north toward the deer stand that lies just on the border of the forest north of the big plain above Starry. As soon as we entered the forest I noticed three of them looking out into the plain and I hit the dirt. Lapis quickly crawled over to a fallen tree and got in position to ambush. He gave the order to engage and picked off the three guys there. One of them died and the other two DC'd. Lapis got credit for all three kills even though two of the three DC'd. This scenario was intense, and it was the first one I have had like it. I can't wait to do it again, but maybe this time the victims will grow some balls and take their death like men.

In my opinion the best part about this game is the realism therein. If your reflex is to DC in the face of death instead of defend yourself then there is no way to fully appreciate and enjoy this world that Rocket has created for us.
