simply log out and you're good. The falling one is a bit tricky, you just have to do it close to the ground.

It's very easy to get ammo back for it, since you can turn revolver ammo into M1911 ammo. Go to a supermarket and try not to find at least 2 mags for it.

It's just reverting back to what you had in it when you first saved. Only way to save something now is find a brand new tent.

Look at little harder on the map. Airfield is Balota Airfield, quarry is Solnichniy. Worst one you can get it wilderness, but I'm pretty sure you can't first spawn into wilderness.

Vehicles I wouldn't count on being there next reset, but the stuff in your tent on it's first save should be there, but you can't put anything else in after that and expect it to stay. If you've already saved your tent I would try to find a new one and stash your stuff in that and save it.

and you basically have nothing, what do you do? Spawned in Elektro pier, was looting industrial buildings for a hatchet and what not, and a guy with a custom skin appears in front of me. Also had voice modulation to sound like the devil or something, meh. Anyways, it seems he was afraid of me rushing him (had a hatchet at this point) but he said to lie down on the floor and if I ran he was going to shoot me anyways. I didn't have much so I decided to play with him. I slowly back away and then dart around the corner, make it a good distance until I instantly go down to 3k blood, bleeding, and a broken leg, without a single gunshot. He then just appears in front of me again, feeling he made is point, so I decide to swing at him a couple times. Get him to bleed and then insta-die myself. Had a fun time, didn't care for that life much anyways due to the bad spawn location. So, can I assume this guy was a hacker, or at least a script kiddie? Also, what would you do this situation? Run? alt+f4? Play his game and see what happens?

You type that into command line, which you open up with run and type in cmd. I have the steam version so I don't know how to help you out, but that's what AndreasB is telling you.

It takes less than 10 minutes to get to a deerstand or barn, or any high level residential or military spawn from basically any spawn point. If the closest one doesn't pan out, go to the next one. It's not that difficult.

Is your battleye updated? Are you joining only hive servers? Did you look up what script it says? Start there. Also, DayZ is free.

Dunno about the respawn thing, it's supposed to stay persistent, but you passively gain humanity over time up to 2500, otherwise heal other players and what not.

Bear traps breaks people's legs, and tank trap is just a large metal object that can block things.

It depends on what gear everyone has and what not. If everyone has room for 1-2 morphine, some bandages, and a blood bag for themselves, you should get along ok. Now if everyone needs space for extra primaries and ammo and such, it is nice to have a guy with a bag full of meds. Just make sure he doesn't go down right away, and even if you have a dedicated medic, still carry a couple bandages and a morphine yourself, just incase. As for mechanic, I play in small groups and haven't had much luck with vehicles anyways, but I don't see the need. Store parts at your camp and when you go vehicle hunting, load up and move out. Jerry Cans can just be stored in the vehicle once you find it.

So the meat didn't make it. That means it's only the very first save of the tents life. Guess no more scavenging for me until the next update.

Don't feel bad, I didn't know about it for awhile. I remember the first map I found, it was off a dead player (I found) and it was marked all over with stuff like "heli" "base" and "stash", I thought he was just dumb, but I did my research and found out it was global. Some servers disable this however, same with the way points.

Well, re-pitched one of the tents and put a piece of meat in it, I'll see if it's still there after the next reset.

So the tents are back, but it seems the last round of stuff I put in them didn't save, my Kobra moved back to my first tent and my meds are gone. I think what Zecknaal said is happening, it's only using the first save. In that case, is it possible to pack a tent then replace it on the ground in order to save it for the "first" time? Just figuring out how I can deal with this.

Well I found another tent at the market, so at least I can rebuild if need be. I think if they aren't there on the reset, I'll just not play until the update, hopefully I can "safely" store my stuff then. Thankfully this time I didn't lose much of value, just a stockpile of meat, water bottles, and meds. The only guns I lost was an Enfield and an AKS-74 Kobra, I knew there might be glitches so equipped my big guns, M107 and M16A2, knowing my person was safer that tents, at least when logged out. Just sucks that I lost all those meds I ran 10k to get, now I'm back down to 1 of each.

You have to put the center post of the wire or the center of the trap in the middle of your screen. Have to fiddle with it a bit, but it works. Check out DayZ Guidez on youtube for a demo.

Start by finding a day server, this can be usually done by the timezone in the server name. For avoiding zeds, crouch walk or crawl, and if you do get agro, stand up and run. Try to break line of sight and sneak away. Look up guides and such on youtube for further help.
