    Medic

I'll just give you a couple links http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3910-need-medical-assistance-we-can-help/ http://trusted-medics-ofthe-wasteland.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?3 First is just whitelist, 2nd is joining TMW. Hero skin isn't required, but if you're stuck with a bandit, I suggest finding yourself a camo or gillie. Just help some people out and let Wasteland know.

what do you like busy or none?

I usually stick to low pop for looting and healing people, but I do go on missions in high pop to heal randoms.

    Hungry, Hungry Backpacks.

When putting items in your pack, if you don't have enough space, even by one, it will simply delete it. It won't attempt to swap guns out or anything. Now when moving things out of the backpack, it will switch to make room. There are some cases where it may delete something, but I don't know them. I believe it's due to how items are handled currently. I recall Rocket saying that they're not actual objects, just references to objects, so I can only assume when your MP5 is in your pack, it isn't a weapon that would be naturally swapped out with your M4, it's just an item that takes up 10 spaces. It only becomes a gun when you attempt to put in that slot in your active inventory. This is why ammo doesn't follow a gun into your pack as well, since it's no longer a gun. Rocket also said in the standalone each player's items will be unique objects, so he'll be able to fix a lot of the problems with inventory, and plans to completely rework the whole system. So, just move out instead of in, and wait for standalone for the fix.
  4. If you need help, just send me a PM and we'll work something out. But yes, it doesn't heal and you have to crawl. Hilariously enough, you can still stand up in place, and even "walk" standing up by spamming 'v', but it's about a slow as crawling and you agro everything. Just helpful for entering buildings without dying to clipping.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Have a professional team of medics ready with a helicopter to heal anyone in need.
  7. To the game, you're a bandit when your humanity is below 0. To the community, well, that's an ongoing discussion. The head scarf will go away in time as long as you continue to not kill players.

    First Day

Except that it's totally legitimate and understandable in a survival scenario. Some will scavenge, others will kill for supplies, protection, or just fun, because well, the world is ending. People will be hostile, it's to be expected. Can't deal with it? Then it's not a game for you.

    First Day

You probably just got sniped. The sniper rifles in this game have an effective range beyond even your visible range. If you're in Cherno, Elektro, Starry Sobor, or an airstrip/airfield, even if there are only 1-2 unknowns on the server with you, you have to assume there in the perfect sniping spot with an AS50 ready to kill you when you stop moving. That or they were on a nearby rooftop with a rifle or something.

How to get into the same server of a friend?

    1. Use DayZ Commander 2. Ensure you both are using the same arma beta and dayZ version 3. Refresh all servers before searching (top right corner) 4. Have one person find a suitable one, and the other search for the exact name of the server, with all filters off It may take a few tries, but those rule out a lot of issues that arise.

    Concerning "Hating Bandits"

I agree not all bandits are bad, nor do I hate the majority of them, but I can tell you though I'm more inclined to attack a bandit than a survivor. I do attempt to fill the Hero role, being a medic, and will even risk my life to save some random survivor, but I don't expect everyone to do that. There needs to be good and bad for things to be interesting, at least until zeds actually become a threat. I did just have a "noble bandit" encounter on Lingor. I overheard some guys talking over direct. I had spawned 5 min ago, but got lucky at a military area and had an M4A1 on me, and a M24 in my pack. I still wanted to go see the hotel (first time being in one), so I stash my M4A1 in the ladder room, declare myself as a friendly and see what happens. They see all I have is a M1911 and just say to point at the ground as I pass by them on the stairs. I of course made the mistake of picking up my M4A1 on my way out. They must've noticed this and sniped me on my way out.
  12. Just play and not kill for awhile, you'll lose the bandit eventually. Now getting the Hero skin as a solo player, THAT is tricky.

BLOOD and Damage NEW PLAYER Guide!

Nice guide, very informative. I know I always advise new players to at the very least hit a hospital to get 2-3 morphine, then they can gtfo of the coast if they want. It just sucks being stuck up north with a broken leg, and it'll happen even more now that the debug is leaving. There are people (me) and groups (TMW) you can contact for help if you don't want to lose your stuff, but still, just don't risk it.
  14. I'd be happy to roll with you and help you out a bit. I'm usually on the TMW teamspeak, but we can work out steam or skype.

    Died on login, bug?

Yeah, happened to me earlier. Logged in debug plain with nothing but my bag and hero skin, then relogged in elektro. I got a heli evac though, hopefully you did ok.
  16. Hello all. This is what happened on my first time in a helicopter. It may be a bit long, so skip over it if you like. So me and a couple other TMW's were running to save a patient, on some empty server. Along the way, someone finds a fully operational heli and a motorcycle, just sitting by a gas station. Luckily he knows how to fly, so we end up doing a heli evac for the patient. From there we all get picked up and loot every military spawn, as the server is still empty. Get some good gear, then get more calls for help, and attend to those. After this, we find a camp of 5 tents on Skalisty Island. Drop down to check it out and the place is loaded. We all gear up well, then the server randomly restarts. We cross our fingers, and the chopper is still there, but it has no gas. We put the 3 can in that we have, hoping it will at least allow us to get to a gas station. While we're about to take off, someone had just logged in on the island, probably the camp owner, and takes 3 of 5 of us out before we even get out of the chopper. It's just me and the pilot left. I hurry to get out, trying to find this guy. The pilot decide to take off and save the chopper. This didn't end well as the enemy was using a sniper rifle, and killed the pilot, crashing the heli. I'm left alone on this little island with just a M107 to try to kill this guy. I couldn't know how far away he was, so I zeroed to 100 and aimed for the body as he looted one of the dead. The bullet whizzed over his head. He bolts behind the house and I assume he logged out. I don't know how many were able to get back and retrieve there stuff, but I got out gaining a coyote backpack and an M107, and I had fun riding all over the map in a chopper. Still stuck on the island, hopefully the Logistics guys can come rescue me.

    Fun Day Ending in Death

I could lose my stuff, like my coyote backpack, and more importantly my anti-biotics. I sent a request for evac, but I'll swim if I don't get a response soon.

ITT : Post your best gear yet

I hear you can and will get banned for using scripted gear, even if you you didn't script it in yourself, not entirely sure, but I wouldn't bother risking it. Just bury it in a zed and start finding real guns.

Tips from a 100+ day survivor

So wait, 100+ days and no binos?
  23. Unless the wiki is wrong, it doesn't work that way http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/Humanity I think it needs to be tweaked. The doing damage is ok, but since it subtracts the humanity of your victim, so two fresh spawns could get into a fight, and the victor will always come out a bandit. While this is an interesting way to scare new players away from KOS mentality, it seems a little much. You could lower the cap or add different tiers, but I think at the core of it, they way you lose humanity is wrong. Maybe something like no lose for bandit kill, -1k for survivor kill, and like -5k or something ridiculous for Hero kill. Also, some way to identify a hero or bandit in a gillie or camo would be nice, since the "real" bandits are already wearing those anyways, and heroes don't get the benefits of the stealth. Just my 2 cents.
  24. While it does suck that you can't easily see your humanity or blood levels, it does add to the immersion factor. Would be nice for a toggle or menu option or something, but I won't say anymore about it until standalone.
  25. As others have said, supermarkets are your best bet, but high value residential spawns typically have some sort of liquid in them. In-game, it depends on the server, most have direct on from what I've played on at least, and some even have side chat, which is server wide. Just cycle trough your communication types and see what there is available. If you do find a server with side chat however, do not use your mic, text only. You will most likely get raged at and kicked if you use global voice. Out of game, there are countless programs to communicate with friends or people you find on the forums to trade with and such. If you do need help you can look up the Trusted Medics of the Wasteland http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3910-need-medical-assistance-we-can-help/ , or just make a generic thread asking for help.
