    Broken bones and morphine.

Yeah, you'll be alright, go hunt a cow if you can, or just have a friend bloodbag you, I assume your blood is a bit low.

    Broken bones and morphine.

You can't walk/run. You can stand in place, but as soon as you move you go prone. Your options are to try to crawl around and sneak there without players or zeds catching you, or call a medic for help on the forum.
  6. If you still need help, I'd be willing to give it a go, so long as you bear with my running speed. Just PM the name of the server and we'll get in touch.

    Someone barricaded me?

Just hop to and empty server and get out just fine. I don't know if you're still hurt, but I can help if so.

    Waypoints and Zombie Movement

I haven't tested the shift+right-click method, double-click has always worked for me. For remember where you put things, I just have a little notepad to and jot down coordinates of where I put my vehicles and stuff, and for fixed things like tents, I put the coords in the note section on DayZ commander, so I can easily find which servers that I play on have tents/vehicles and where they are on the map. For getting on vehicles, you have to be next to it and use the scroll wheel. There should be an option that says "get on (vehicle) as driver". You do need to be at a certain location around the vehicle for most to get this, so just circle around it while spinning your wheel. If all you get is "save (vehicle)" at all points around it, that probably means it's totaled, but that should be pretty easy to tell. Most servers hide vehicles on the map, but some recruit severs may. Edit: Also, that 9 min per kilometer is assuming flat land. If your path goes over hills or through towns (as it typically does), it could be a good deal longer.

    Waypoints and Zombie Movement

Dunno anything about the military zeds and if they're different at all, so I'll just talk navigation. I think you're meaning map markers. It's just double click and a black X will appear which you can label. You'll only see it on your map or GPS, but the whole server can see them. I only use them if I feel like leaving friendly notes like where crashed helis are what they have. They method described in the video can only be seen by you. For the distance bit, I'll introduce you to the wonderful world of coordinates. If you notice on your map, there are straight lines running side-to-side and up and down. There are also numbers in between these lines at the edges of the map. If there are three digits in these numbers, that means from one parrallel line to the other, it is 100m. When there's two digits, it 1,000m. From there you just figure out where you are and what place you want to go, do a little geometry, and there's your estimated distance. There's a DayZ GuideZ video that explains this a bit better, with visuals, I'll see if I can locate it. Edit: Here it is

    Looking for DayZ partner/help.

Well, if you're just looking to learn the game, my group has a mentoring system in place. Even if you know some of the mechanics, it could be helpful. Check here for further info http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/75948-the-trusted-mentors-of-the-wasteland/page__hl__%2Btrusted+%2Bmentors #shamelessadvertising Aside from that, we could play sometime, but my play time is a bit erratic, so you'll have to get used to playing with others or alone for part of the time.
  11. I had already said most of my views on it already, and I mentioned a realistic situiation to compare this to, but maybe it go overlooked. I'm not sure why Bizzyb got hooked on rubble for a real situation, but really is could be compared to any deeper looking beyond just getting what was on the surface, be it rubble, drawers and cabinets, under knocked over furniture, or simply going through the trash. This can be the same idea as returning to a loot spawn after a reset and looting the same spot again, thinking you may have missed something or what not. At the end of the day, the mechanic exists and nothing is stopping people from doing it. By the sounds of it, things will change in the standalone, so we may not be able to do this, but I'm sure there will be other exploits, which we should seek out as testers. If you feel you're at a disadvantage because you are against it, there are private hives that will ban pretty ruthlessly for things like this, so feel free to try it out there.
  12. Well this is awkward. A: HerrJon B: Bleeding, passed out C: Berezino docks, south of 3 white warehouses, east of wall, 130 053 D: Hero skin, Coyote backpack, DMR I'd like to give someone who isn't a TMW member or not whitelisted a chance to help someone, but after a couple days I'll go with whomever. Just PM and we'll work out a time to meet up. Been helped edit: We got a guy on it now.
  13. For those still complaining he's copying Cherno Journo, have a look at one of his comments here Sad to see the series go... what would you think of others taking up the project and interviewing players? magaz 16 hours ago Of course go right ahead. There's nothing special about what i do - the magic is in the stories other tell you. Cherno Journo in reply to magaz 10 hours ago

    Friendly??? Really????

All saying friendly means in this game is you don't want to be shot at. It is possible to not kill people and survive in the big city, it just takes some skill and patient. Stay in cover, check corner, never stop moving. When interacting with another player, try to be the one to see them, then if you need help/would like to help, take precautions. Request guns be lowered (ctrl x2) before revealing yourself, meet in buildings if solo, outside if you have an overwatch, and if he raises it and aims in your direction gtfo. If you get seen and they don't shoot at you but make contact, use your best instincts. What are they asking you to do? What do you have to lose if you die? What do they have to gain from killing you? Do you see an easy escape route? If they ask you to turn away from them and you wish to comply, be sure to alt + look so you can keep your eyes on them in case they raise their weapon. The one time I have been seen and they talked instead of shooting on sight, I ended up having to put him down. I was in the office building of Elektro, new spawn, only hatchet for weapon. A guy with a Makarov was on the 2nd floor in the center room. I forgot to check it and moved down the hallway to the right. I hear him saying that he's friendly and to stay still. I duck into the room at the end and say I'm friendly and I can help. He asks what I have, just food, drink, and meds, no guns I say. Tells me to come out slowly, I comply and he starts firing on me. I was prepared for this. With him blocking my only exit, and not wanting to have to linger in the building after gunshots, I zigzag too him while he's still down iron sights. Sweep the the legs and attempt to knock him out and patch him up after, but he dies after a few hits. My one an only murder of the game. I definitely learned to be even more careful and plan my looting routes to always have an exit, but it still could've been avoided and I feel guilty about it to this day.

The "unconscious bug" is now taking the piss

Didn't know there was much to be learned from that situation, but I'm just glad you kept your gear and whatnot. If you do need help at all in the future, feel free to contact me or other TMW members. You don't have to worry about a bullet in the face, we're called the Trusted Medics for a reason.
  16. Well, ChernoJourno is retired now, so I'd say it's fair game. Rexaruious, if you'd like to interview a medic, I'd be happy to. Send me a PM and we can set something up.
  17. Has been helped. Healed him up, gave him some gear, and directed him off the water tower and out of town in the dead of night.

Can you play dayz alone - For long??

You can play lone wolf just fine for awhile, assuming you can stay sane doing it. You don't have to be a bandit either, just stay hidden and pick your player interactions carefully. You can hunt for blood, otherwise just a call a medic. Speaking of which, if you still need help, send me a PM.
  19. You should set waypoints, makes life so much easier.
  20. If you're complaining, I'll take 'em off your hands lol good finds, use them well.

Where are you at? I could help you out. No trade necessary
  22. The teleport thing, just log out before you hit the ground. ATV's are pretty bad, but that's an Arma problem as far as I know. You learn to avoid bridges and rocks or rough terrain, but I haven't bothered with the things. You can flip them back too, I'm not familiar with the technique, but it's possible. Best of luck, and look forward to the standalone. @kilz, please don't spam, there's a whole forum section dedicated to what you are looking for, go there.

    Question on server restarts

I log when the server is about to restart, but that's more just for piece of mind that I won't lose anything, but I think it'll just do it's thing while you wait it out. One thing though, when the server is restarting, even if you see the normal lobby, don't jump the gun on joining again. There's a timeout at the top right corner of the lobby menu, and if someone joins the server before the timeout is finished, it's forces the restart and it's likely a large portion of tents and vehicles won't load up. Just had the admin of my server force a restart the other night because we couldn't find any of our tents or vehicles.

    Gonna need some help here.

If you get debugged, just relog and you'll respawn on the beach with whatever you had on you in debug. It's different for everyone what stays. Some get all their stuff, some lose their backpack, some lose everything but their backpack, some lose everything, I've even heard of people losing gillie suits but not their gear (unconfirmed). It's a really strange bug that I don't know the exact cause of, but it'll happen from time to time. Once you're back in the real world, your body with all your gear should be in the last place you were when you logged out, assuming you get to it fast enough. I didn't realize this when it happened to me, so I just had the Coyote backpack as well, thankfully TMW had a chopper team on the teamspeak at the time who were happy to give me brand new guns and gear.
