Please explain why you are only mad at Vilayer then... Why do you bash a company that offers server hosting... and also adds content for the community to have for FREE?

So you are saying that the guy who has another version of this map running is not doing the same thing? He took a map coded it for dayz... Then put it up for download on a site that is AD-Driven (tunngle) and is asking for donations in the servers he is running..... Nice Try. Are you new to ArmA??? How about the ACE MOD... or any of the other MODs that are out there for ARMA?? No one is taking anything from anyone... The fact is that this is a Free MOD... not being sold... Someone is adding content for all to enjoy... The guy who " supposedly " ran the Panthera map with the DayZ Code in it first is really adding to the community... however ... he didn't take into account that others might want to play it... and that he had no way of getting it out there.. (other than tunngle) and no way to help people install it... (most people are too lazy or do not have the skills required to do it) so now there is someone posting that this is somehow now the Official version... and another one is a FAKE... lol... You really are only out for yourself... as you claim the other guys involved here are. You are trying to have a monopoly on the Panthera Map coded for DayZ... You are claiming that they are doing that.. when in fact.. they are making it available to the masses to enjoy.

There seems to be some serious misconceptions being thrown around here. By the OP.. and others. If you visit this page http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7467 You will find Panthera, a map created by IceBreakr. This map has been around since Date: 2010-05-09 09:16. ViLayer simply took a map that was already created and added the DayZ Code... Just as the other guy did who had 2 servers running the map. ViLayer spent the time to place each vehicle spawn.. Loot spawn in the building models... (of course it will look the same.. there is no other way to add the dayz code...) It appears that the OP is mad that someone else did the same thing he did... only better, And now he claims that the server files he created are somehow Official, and that the ones someone else has done are fake... ??? Are you really serious? There is nothing being sold... there is nothing being stolen.. Anyone can go to the link provided above and download the map... or any other map for ArmA2 or Arma2 OA and go spend hours and hours of time coding and adding in the proper spawning for vehicles and players... then go host a hive that has hundreds of thousands of players in it... then setup a support system to deal with any issues that people have with the map you have created... All without getting paid for it BTW. Then go spend thousands and thousands of dollars for the best that money can buy servers and put them into data centers around the world... allowing anyone who chooses... not forced, to rent space to host ANY SERVER VERSIONS OR MODS they wish to play on. I want to THANK ViLayer for Supporting the DayZ Community.. For adding content... For having a Hive that has so many maps and options... I want to thank DayZ Commander for a FREE program that allows players of this FREE mod to have a fast , easy way to download these new maps and search for the most popular servers, the populated servers... and enjoy this MOD that so many people love to play.

As i was part of working on the testing on this map, I know for a fact that the Coding was custom, the map is on Armaholic for anyone to download, someone in here acts like they made the map... Well i can tell you the maps might be the same... but the ViLayer Panthera is quite unique... right down to the vehicle placement. The amount of zombies spawning is great.. all of the ViLayer maps have had an overhaul with more loot, more vehicles. Way to go ViLayer team.

That is not a fix... that will cause lag for players having to push more smaller packets. Get a better internet connection. Or go post on the Battleye page to fix the weak hardware they have that can not deal with the amount of players running DayZ.

There are hundreds and hundreds of players on this map.. loving it. It is not some easy to master map though... it won't be for the casual players... You have to work for it... Anyone who says they can't find loot ...well , they are not looking... as i said before.. i have fresh spawned 8 times now.. and within 15 mins.. i have always had food, weapons, usually found enough parts and repaired a vehicle....

(the same place you see the other @dayZ folders) Then download the second file. Put it in same folder as the other..(in the folder with your @DayZ folders) launch with that file. Be sure when you extract the @DayZFallujah folder....that it does not duplicate itself. (be sure when you open it..it only has an addons folder in it. If it has another folder in it called @DayZFallujah... you did it wrong.

Sorry to hear your story. We have been with ViLayer for a few months now, and all I can say is.. "WOW" you couldn't be more wrong. The Customer support is GREAT... they have a ticket system, as well as a Teamspeak server to deal with questions or problems. They have the best servers money can buy, the performance is amazing compared to the 3 other hosting companies we had tried before ViLayer. ViLayer has created quite a few maps for DayZ.. also many options for you as a server owner to utilize. Time changer,Amount of vehicles that spawn, Public or Private option for each map with separate databases for each. Without ViLayer, our clan...along with many others i assure you... would no longer play this game. They have made DayZ fun again... and added a good amount of admin friendly options as well.

there is a reason there are no Australia servers... Lee has no control over the way the data centers there operate... just say that if he did have servers there you would not want them..due to cost and performance from what i have heard.

For those of you who are complaining of no loot or lack of loot.... You are doing it wrong. I have fresh spawned 6 times... and have had Food/weapons/Alice pack/ammo and a truck or motorcycle in a matter of 15 mins each time. This is not a Get everything handed to you map... you have to work for it. for those asking about getting a server... Yes you can rent a server and have it up and running in an hour or so...

Sounds like someone stole your chopper... The Hive for DayZ spawns the chopper if you are on public hive. Get a package server from ViLayer... you can have 3 choppers. and a ton of vehicles.

ViLayer is the best choice.. we have used HFB... they are cheap, that's the only good thing i can say. With ViLayer we now have 4 maps... with 2 more ready for release this week. You get way more control over your servers... public or private... Main hive Or ViLayer hive.. Which works way better and has alot more variables you can control. Customer service is Great. The fact that you are an idiot and don't understand that there are many RCON tools out there to do the day to day changes that you expect a server provider do for you shows that you are a clueless dolt. You expect a server provider to do everything for you? You are renting a game server... not a Server Admin... that's your job.

All 4 maps have both options.. private/public. You have a separate database for each, so you have all items,vehicles,tents..saved on that server instance. You can switch back and fourth and play all the different maps ,pub or private and retain your character,assets and location for each mode on each map separately. After much searching ...and $ spent. Everybody just cancel your servers already.... We did... and won't donate another dime without the dev's allowing full control over what we pay for. We pay for this... We support this mod... Not the players... the freeloaders who cry about admin abuse can simply go and take $56 out of their pockets and run a server any way they want. anyone posting in this thread that does not pay for a server has no basis for posting here PERIOD. don't waste time debating with people who do not have a clue what we (as server admins) are up against. Even the Troll Forum Mods don't pay for a server and spend half of their gaming time devoted to keeping hacks and douche exploit using cunts off of our servers. Stop supporting this mod... stop putting $ into the pockets of a dev who clearly has no clue what he is doing. Yes ... Rocket is making a GREAT MOD. NO... he doesn't have a clue how to run a community or set up a ruleset that we as admins can use to functionally keep our servers running smoothly. Take away the $ and support until he returns the favor.

We have like 20 people in our clan who never actually played Arma. They have all gone out and wasted $30 to buy combined operations to play this Mod. We have all thrown $ down for a Game and a Server only to be told ... "no you can't stop those punks from ruining the game on your server that you are paying for" It's Rockets MOD! And he is god... Wow ... that's the best reason you can come up with for being a fukin douche? Thats the best explanation we get from (So called Forum Moderators) It's Rockets MOD ? You clueless douche. That will be the reason this mod fails. That will be the downfall of your hard work Rocket. Asshat moderators speaking for you. Your inability to accept the fact that you can not reinvent the wheel (server admins have to run the servers) there is no other way to do it sonny boy.
