My clan has recently located our "Main operations" on US344. We like this server a lot. It operates well, great framerate(yes, server has a lot to do with this.) and a good variety of players. However, the admin has been resetting the server lately to maintain daytime. I do not know the exact consequences of this abuse, but we do want to continue playing on this server. We only ask that the abuse stop immediately. Description: Server restarted ~5-6 times in a matter of 2 hours. The motive is either likely to loot the airfield repeatedly, or to reset to daytime, as the last time (about 5 minutes ago) he/she reset the server specifically to dawn. Night had just began. Also, the server message at login states "NO PVP". Which, I can imagine is completely against Rocket's philosophy as well. Now, let me repeat, we want to continue to play on this server. Put it this way: It works. If you are the admin of this server, please stop the abuse and play fairly. If you cannot play fairly, please remove your server from the hive, as it is against TOS to my knowledge. Thanks for whomever(s) time that I beseech to look into this.

Additionally He was teleporting and/or aborting as our clan was killing the admin. We didn't know he was the admin, however it seems this way.

Restarting the server over and over to loot the airfield? Yea, you know what you're talking about... yep...

Dude. first of all I don't know why you're trying to -exclusively- make friends in the game. That's what forums are for. I found a clan by sending 2, just 2, PM's to clans recruiting on these very forums. Now I usually have a good supply of weapons, and WE let friendlies go, if they obey when we tell them to lower their weapon(2xCTRL) etc... We may even add some of these players if we see them often and they prove to be honest. Stop getting frustrated and play the game intelligently. I'm not trying to be rude, just try to understand that most of the players enjoy hunting others. They want to play this like a normal FPS... let them. Playing solo will be less of an issue if you just don't play solo.

So, in fear of the stickied rules in the "new player" forum, I'm asking this question here. How the heck do you people call up your friend, and join the same server together? I was on the phone with a friend, trying to join the same server. First of all, it was extremely rare(like 10 minute search in game list) to find the same server among the thousands of servers. Secondly, I have no way to(that I know of) to get back to that awesome Canadian(I'm not from Canada) server I found. How do you guys join the same server you found earlier without searching through 1000's of "US XXXX" servers? I mean, lots of them don't even load, so I don't even think that's a sure method of finding the same server every time I log on. Anyway, if anyone can explain simply how to ensure you and a friend can join the same server to me(without 30 minutes of leg work), and how to ensure I can "save" or "find" the same server next time I play, I'd be much appreciative!!!

Here's the deal: I can run Arma2, I can run Arma 2:OA and join multiplayer games. I installed dayz, first by six-install, and then tried via worrom later to attempt to fix errors. I followed the exact instructions to install the game: Beta, Launch options changed, dayz files all in correct folders, everything. I've attempted to move around *.exe files as other people recommend. No dice. I can't right-click >> "re-install battleeye" in steam. When I try this, steam tells me the game is unavailable. So, I installed it manually. Basically I go into "waiting for character to create" screen and then it changes to a black screen with nothing other than "Loading" near the bottom. That's it, no amount of waiting gets me into a server. It's been 5 hours now. In the immortal words of Tyler Durden: "I want to destroy something beautiful." If anyone has any tips that make sense, I'll be very thankful.

Honestly I don't know. I got pissed off and deleted everything. Now I'm having steam re-download all of the files. Why would that matter? I was joining dayz servers... and I had dayz installed... It's not anyone's fault that I purchased Arma-2 just for this, but I think it's ridiculous that this is pretty much the only game I've played in like 5 years with mods that are this difficult to run. In fact every other game I've played with mods, ten years ago for that matter, worked.

What do you mean, "Main screen" ?

I'm also running as administrator already.

I did this multiple times for each. Every time it finds 1 file to download. Every time.
