Yep, that was the problem. I was using Commander and under settings had the option enabled to run through steam but not the 'Replace original Arma2OA files with Beta so Steam works'. After enabling that option, it all worked and could join any server with the correct beta and version.

When you get the message, what does the version say on the bottom right hand of the screen? Is it the same as the servers?

Yes, I used that link and downloaded all betas from 95248 up to 95417 and installed all in order, that did not seem to work either. (edit) It seems I got it to work by using sixlauncher to update it. That is so odd that all other normal methods of updating failed. Even commander was saying I was up to date yet wasn't.

Hello, I am having an issue with joining servers. Every time I try to join a server I automaticly get kicked before entering the server menu saying "Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection". This began to happen after updating to the new DayZ update 1.7.2.4 as well as the new Arma beta 95417 through Commander. However when looking at the main screen of OA @Dayz on the bottom right hand corner it still says that my Arma version is 1.62.95248. The DayZ commander says that I am up to date on everything yet the game says I am still running the older beta. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I have tried verifying Arma2 and OA in steam, then running both once. downloading the Arma2 beta directly and installing it installing the newest battleye The game seems to work when I go to a server that is running 1.7.2.4/95248 but none with newer betas

Getting the same error, except the weird thing is that after doing all those things suggested when I go to launch the game it still says I am running beta 95248 and not 95417. I have installed it a few times and still comes up as the older version.

For me I can adjust the draw distance. so you can see trees and buildings from further away. Yet zombies and other players dont show until a lot closer.

Not working for me, validated both Arma and OA. Both were missing 2 files which steam downloaded.. updated to newest patch, made sure dayZ commander was up to date. Still getting kicked from servers once I get to the server menu (edit) forgot to add that I did run both games after validating.... :D
