I'm not an expert, although I did start recording my gameplay a few weeks back, and more dedicated recording a few days back. Key points are: - Properly set up recording program (Fraps doesn't take a lot of settings, it eats ram; try Dxtory, it's complicated but very good.) - Use a different hard disk with enough space. If you use the same HDD it has to read and write too much on the same disk and that will cost you. Also make sure you don't record to a USB HDD (external).
