We got another volunteer, still need more people then we're good to go.

The map icon locator is only on when playing recruit mode. Regular and above and it's off by default.

Time commitments are nice, but if you can only play an hour a day thats fine, just as long as it's at a regular time.

Is it against the rules?

There needs to be some kind of punishment otherwise it'll all fall apart. Banning might not be THE way to go, but it's an option. No bad deed goes unpunished. BTW our server is European: DE6 Good pings though.

why not highlight bandits on the map with a pulsing beacon and bandit next to it! Give them no place to hide. Also make them louder and less discreet to local zombies! FTB (new acronym, guess what it means :D) One kill do nothing as it could be an accident, two kills let them have it! Bandit hunters on the other hand are even more discreet and dont suffer from any weather effects.

@ daedric We dont run a veteran server, but map location is off. As for seeing names... thats going to be essential for this to work. Our server is down for maintenance but it's DE6 how do we differentiate mercs and general public, Mercs will need to add a small tag to their profile, so when you hover over someone their name is visible. Plus Mercs will be within the confines of the trading post, others will be outside.

@Buba Welcome aboard m8e @Sminky, matches and painkillers are plenty-full if you know where to look. you'll get paid in getting some goodies, weapons and ammo for starters, then essential items like hunting knives, binoculars, map, compass and anything else like medical supplies. Other items may com along that might be handed out from time to time... specialist weapons and ammo and anything else that rocket and the team can throw at us.

Call me naive but stealing from the community will probably never happen, getting a winchester in the face and getting stripped of all your items should be a deterrent enough. I think will a little management an patience it could work very well.

If its a DE server (DAO hosted) I can clarify that there are problems with them, possibly hardware related. The owner is currently trying to diagnose the problem. So it might be locked whilst diagnosis takes place.

Recording is a certainty at some point, there will be creases than need ironing out, and once thats done, sure, there will be some good youtube videos. does anyone have what it takes? We really need your help.

We obviously are looking for people who can and will put in the hours, the hours can be whatever you want, but they must be as regular as possible. @Bayers, thats a secret! For now at least.

Our problem is fixed, Disabled VOIP and Map location icon. Probably the map icon helper was causing the problem because the server wasn't set to recruit.

No one walks in to a store where a sales guy tells you to call them on his cell if you want more info do they? You have to sell yourself and your service. List all the good things a customer gets from you, and leave out all the bad points you think there might be. F.A.B. Features - Advantages - Benefits What features, advantages, and benefits do your customers get? SELL SELL SELL. plus you're not selling DayZ servers are you, you're renting them. I love to picky :D

where are the servers located? What do you get for the money? How much control over the server? Come on dude, SELL your servers there's competition out there you know.

Thanks CapeCodCaper, there is obviously a trust issue, but I'm sure there's a lot of worth people on here who'd just get on with the job and not abuse their power.

Your servers aren't the only ones to crash, although most seem to last 20-30 minutes before they go.
