I can't create character. I choose dark male, clothing, pants and shoes, click on 'set default character' and then 'back' and it is still a female toon, even in-game???? Any suggestions?

Hi all.. I just came back from my first boar hunting trip, and the first time I ever used a compound bow.. The funny thing was all I could think about was "Imagine using one of these bad boys in DAYZ....."

Yay for the 30 sec combat countdown..... no more running around a corner only to find your enemy has just aborted. Now you HAVE to play by the rules ...MWAH HAA HAA Now that abort and alt+f4 has been dissabled in combat, I think you will see alot more people playing a bit more safer rather than running in guns a'blazing..

Hi all... If there are any admins of au42 around, can you give us a heads up on if the server is coming back online? It's been a few days now and I check every morning and night but it's still off-line. thanks in advance. ;)

This is a first... I was on my usual daily run to the barns for a look around, and I get kicked from server by admin. When I logged back in, I took a few steps and got showered by bullets.... and died. There was no-one around me, only 3 people on the server. The worst part, I was on day 18 :( Then when I log back in it says "You were kicked off the game (battleeye: banned (hacker))". WHYYYYYYYYYYYY????? All that hard work for nothing In-game name - DustnBonez Time of kick - around 12:30am Area - The wilderness - around 015-102 bottom left side of the map Looking for hilux to spawn

Omg. It took me half a day to work it out. Four people on the server, my single tent, close to six other tents full of illegal weapons. And one of four players being in the same area as me, (225 square Km map)... Surrounded by trees and in a guillie suit. My verdict ??? I GOT TOO CLOSE TO YOUR CAMP SITE. A ticket has been sent along with a link to this thread. Good luck guys

I only had one tent. The AS50 was just a normal as50. The thermal gun I have no idea what it was called. It was a 'L' something. You could hit 'n' for night vision then 'n' again for thermal. The tent was empty when I got there tonight, my guns were gone. So I put around 15 or so cooked meat in there. When I was killed ---- I was running to the barn, then got a message "you have been kicked from server (admin)"... Thought it was wiered so logged back in. kept running, then got hammered by bullets. I died, then when I went to respawn I got the banned message. the reason I chose that tent site was because it was close to the coast and the hilux spawn point.... And for the other player, it wasn't even a fight, I didnt even know he was there. lol.. all I heard was the shots then I was dead. p.s. I'm glad you could get into the tent... Took me around a hundred goes lol. ANYWAY.. It looks like I'm not going to win this battle.. All the best in your endevours. You do have a good server running. A good low population server for solo players like myself.. cheers. DnB BTW. If it is suspicious me camping where I did. Why is it not suspicious that you operate in the same area? Thats a bit one sided don't you think? Are you saying your team has never taken a trip to NWA.???

I don't know how to teleport? wouldn't that show up in the logs? All the guns I had in my possesion were taken fair and square. I just recieved a message from the person who was following me. He was the one who shot me. He can verify that I didn't teleport anywhere... I know its just a game, but it is sooo frustrating to do all that hard work and have it ripped from under you.... and the reason I go to the barn is because the white hilux spawns around the corner.

I had an AS50, a thermal, three jerry cans, some ammo and a few other things in it. If you want to check out the tent you can. It is under a tree and is really hard to open because of the leaves. I downloaded the game from steam so I don't know where the modified data file -addons\plants2_clutter.pbo come from

I've noticed since the bandit hat was removed, dayz became a "shoot first, ask friendly later" scenario....

Hi all.... If anyone out there has played 'WOW' you will be familiar with the......... Gurubashi Arena Each day, at the same time a small gnome walks into the centre of an arena and places a small box in the middle. Whoever opens the box gets the loot. (pvp) NOW... picture that dayz style..... eg.... 4pm each afternoon a cargo plane flys overhead and drops a box of, um lets say medical supplies (blood bags, morphine etc) by parachute. This box lands in the same spot each day. eg the field behind Stary Sobor. It just sits there.. There is no-one around... or is there... You are not the only one who wants those goodies. Snipers, clans, survivers and bandits all making plans and working on tactics on how to get their hands on the loot AND NOT DIE.... Would love to hear feedback on the idea? Do you think it would work? if so why? if you don't think it would work, then why not? Cheers.

Maybe have 2 types of quotes..... xxxx was killed ---> killed by another player xxxx has died ---> taken by zombie, loss of blood, food, water, temperature etc

Hi all.... Was just thinking about those crows and dogs in Resident evil..... What if....... Leave the bunnies alone, leave the sheep and cows to graze in those fields, BUT.... What if Boars only spawned and pathed in forest areas, infected from eating the flesh of dead survivors. They would NOT do as much damage as zombies and other players, but enough to be a pain in the butt!!!!! And it would give players another reason to keep an eye out for those antibiotics..... And imagine the sound of one of those things coming up behind you in the dead of night..... What do you all think????

Hi all... If anyone has played World of Warcraft, you will be familiar with their log-off timer. I think it would be a great idea to incorporate this. Aborting is getting so common these days (to evade death).. "abort" -> "20 seconds till disconnect" -> (small button underneath) "press to cancel".... Having the cancel button (box) means that your avi cannot move whilst the 20sec sequence is running. So the only time you can abort is when you have finished for the day/night and found a nice cosey place to hide. Or seeing that there is already an hourglass implemented into the game, use that as your timer. Then we can all have beans for dinner :)
