Honestly, yes... its sad to say it but 90% of the time they will be hostile either right away, or wait till you go to eat a can of beans or go into your binoculars! The thing I dont understand is killing unarmed players... I mean... wtf? It takes 15 min to log in on populated servers and some jerk is just going to kill you for the hell of it? Thats the most annoying thing in the world to me.

The fact of the matter is, if you hacked in weapons/vehicles. You will eventually be caught and key banned. If you happen upon a hacked vehicle or weapons, you will not be banned. The server owner has the right under suspicion of you hacking to ban you from his or her server with proof... but you can just join another server. Have fun with the AS50 TWS, I found one on a body and it is an amazing scope... but just know you wont be perma banned for using it!

The stupidity of some people. This game has both elements of PvP and PvE play styles. If you truly want to play this game you are going to have to accept that. I could understand if the OP grabbed the AS50 and ran to Cherno shooting new players with nothing but a flashlight. He went to the highest PvP concentrated area in the game where people snipe all day long. You yourself go to the NWAF knowing that at any moment you may get sniped or ambushed. The job of a sniper is to kill WITHOUT being seen. Whats the point of running up on somebody with a large sniper rifle when they could possibly have an AR? Thats just stupid. You mentioned that he is abusing the connifer de-aggro? LOL... are you serious? IT WAS PUT IN THE GAME FOR THE REASON OF GETTING AWAY FROM ZOMBIES. Got that? Why would you not use it? At any point in time the OP could have been counter sniped by someone else, he wasn't even that well hidden IMO. The fact that one of the targets DC'd 2x shows how that aspect needs to be altered to avoid combat logging. As for him camping for players, tell me the next time you find a DMR, AS50 or M107 and use all your ammo shooting zombies, yeah... right. @OP Good kill on the first guy, the second it looks like you missed, but you definitely got him with a couple shots the second go around. Unfortunately Arma 2 OA put out a patch that nerfed the pistol damage so you probably only did a couple K worth of damage to him. If he hadnt seen me I would have dropped the AS50 zeroing to 100m, then scoped him in the back but with time you will learn how to use that gun! Keep it up!

Standalone will be much better, we ARE playing an Alpha at this point. Some of the items in the picture you pointed out make me think you are just craving for some of that internet attention. It is ONE picture, ONE small scene, obviously designed (whether good or bad) to depict what the game is about in a quick wrap up. Yes the game is going to be heavily based on the work he has done so far with the Arma 2 platform. Why would it not be? Spend all this time developing the game on this only to then rip it out from under everything and replace it with something that then has to be reworked and take longer? As for the log... its his logo he made for the DayZ mod... if the game is going to stay DayZ, why change the logo? That's brand recognition right there. As for 90% of you folks saying "Yeah this game is gunna suck! Im not buying it..." A couple days, maybe weeks after the standalone is released... you all will follow guaranteed.

No one is saying it should be easy mode. They are saying that realistically, the UH-1H has a CAPACITY of 600-1000 liters. It should take between 30-50 jerry cans to fill the helicopter from 0. Some are experiencing an issue where it is taking over 100... does that not seem like an issue to you? This game is a based on realism and should be that way.

It's not to bad, it's a big difference between prepatch and now. However, versus zombies it is more realistic. What I mean by that is the fact that destroying the brain is the only known way to truely kill a zombie. Technically, you could put a .50 round through a zombies chest, creating a giant gaping hole, and it would still be alive. If you ran over a zombie and managed to sever the torso from its legs, it would still crawl after you. The fact that pre patch you could take a 1911 and one shot a zombie in the chest? Not realistic. This will make people think more strategically and go for headshots as much as possible, or they are just going to waste ammo. As for players, the nerf should not apply. The amount of pistol rounds it takes to kill a player (minus headshots) is not realistic. It should be looked into (I think Rocket is) and fixed. I dont know if the two guns vs zeds / guns vs players can be differentiated, but something needs to be done.

It always gets intense when out of nowhere a vehicle rolls up near you. Its a great feeling when you are able to kill the occupants and then take their vehicle!

If it is a hackers tent area you would see alot more weapons, speaking from experience my clan has two tent "cities" of roughly 6-10 tents each, but we are a group of almost 15 people, and have played constantly for over a month and a half. We have gear that ranges from AS50's L85's, M107's, camo, ghillis, NVGs, (no range finders yet!) etc. Just because you see alot of good gear doesn't always mean its hacked. Like us, we have put a large effort into aquiring all of this gear and it has taken a LONG time. If you happen to pick up a hacked weapon, or find a hacked vehicle, upon server restart that gear will dissappear as it is not synched with the hive, but dont worry about getting banned, Rocket said himself that if people are found with hacked vehicles or weapons, investigations commence to find out if you were the one that SPAWNED them.

I agree with this, growing your own crops would not work as in game time = real time. It would take seasons to grow crops realisticly. Why not just implement gardens/farm patches, bushes with berries (and poisonous berries) to harvest in the woods, fields of grain/corn... etc

I like the idea, however, unless your frequency surfing to try and find possible survivors who have a radio thats one thing, but groups of people who play will just use TS, Mumble, Skype, etc. It might be a good addition for those that play alone, but I feel like if they used the radio to group, they would probably just say, "Hey I know a TS server, lets go!".

I would love a date stamp. The thing is, say you look up a tutorial video and it happens to be an older video back from 1.7.0 and you have no way of telling other than possibly the date the video was added (for arguments sake, lets say they uploaded a 1.7.0 video yesterday) and certain aspects of the game have drastically changed since 1.7.0 to 1.7.2.3 . You wouldn't necessarily know that unless the person in the video said the version, or you tested it out for yourself and ended up realizing it doesnt work. I also would like a spot on the debug monitor to tell me how long I have lived, minutes/hours/days would be fantastic.

I agree, it should make alot of noise as in real life you are hacking at a tree, and the tree should either change the way it looks after its been cut, or just fall over.

I currently only have a M24, 3 mags of rounds and a M4A1 CCO SD with 3 mags, and if I go into my back pack, and pull whichever primary over, it replaces the one in my active inventory. Maybe you didn't have enough extra space in your bags? That really sucks! If there isnt room in a bag, tent or vehicle, then it should PROHIBIT you from being able to put the item in there, not just let the items dissappear.

I have not run across this situation as of yet but I would have approached it a bit differently. I would have targeted the bandit over the fellow with the crowbar no doubt, but I would not have jeapordized my own safety and wasted my supplies on a newer player (obviously fresh spawn if he has just a crowbar). Not for the reason that I would fear getting whacked in the head, but being the sites of some other bandit and losing my gear to help someone who had a crowbar, bandage and painkillers. I commend you for your actions! Now, if I was a fresh spawn, had some extra stuff, didn't care about my gear, yeah I would have helped and probably teamed up if he agreed to. But not with my nice gear!

Are you referring to 1.7.2.3? We have found several ghillie suits and I am wearing one right now.

You are wrong again syphon. Why dont you uninstall Battle-Eye and try to log into our server... oh wait... you can't? Shame. 0 for 1. You say that you have someone feeding you information from within our clan, wrong again. That person is known to be involved with you and any specific information about anything is never released to that person. Do you have recordings of that specific conversation? Would love to hear it. 0 for 2. The CKW clan is made up of individuals who respect gaming, the community that has developed on their server and in no way would jeapordize a server they payed for out of their own pockets to RISK doing anything that might compromise the DayZ server. If you have actual proof, show it, if not, go to another server and enjoy your DayZ experience. I believe that brings the count to 0 for 3, you're not very good at this are you? Thanks

"On the server CKWgaming.com the admins had a camp i found and raided it and now they look at cords when i log in and they try to kill me so they started shooting at me when i log in so i d/c and they said you combat d/c so were gonna ban you which they didnt and my friends friend is in there clan and he said they use a script to see all veichles and they take them and i also heard they dupe items by puting them in tents and restarting the server so if i log into there server they come and try to kill me so if you can please ban them for abuse. Thank you" We have not looked at coords in order to find you, we don't have access to that, do you have proof? We used someone who was your "friend" to get specific information about you and the location where you constantly combat logged to avoid being killed, which was FRAPS'd. We have copies of that conversation via Steam. As far as banning you, that's up to the actual admin of the server as he has proof of your logging. Your supposed friend is not apart of our clan and we know that he has been in contact with you from one of our sources, we have NEVER said anything about one of our members using a script hack to find vehicles, you are completely false and I would like to see recordings/conversations where it was said. We have over 15 people that frequent the server, we have found, lost, destroyed, etc over 15-20+ vehicles within the month or so the server has been online. As far as the duping of items, show proof? The server has been having various desync issues and has had to be restarted multiple times within the past week or so, the admins are working with the host to correct those issues. You come here spitting lies about the CKW server but I see no screenshots, no video recordings to back any of your claims, where as if needed, we can provide video and text conversations to prove ours.
