Lotus (DayZ)

I found one last night. My friends keep telling me it's a bad omen... but it's mine! My precious!

This is not mine, but a friend showed me and it is the most glorious DayZ vid I've seen.

Wow. So I actually managed to run to the edge of the map and then the server (or a hacker) promptly killed everyone on the server. Great.

On my best life so far, I'm pretty stocked on supplies and ammo and the only major survival item I'm missing is matches. I just joined a server and it took almost an hour to load in and when I finally got in I spawned in the debug plains...

This game needs autorun. Holding down W for 25 minutes is not fun. This game is more MMO than FPS with it's huge open world map, and it's perfectly fine that trying to get to a specific place on foot can take half an hour, but it's not fine that you have to break your W key to do so.

Thanks for the offers guys but my friend logged on and is going to help me. Good to know there's some good people out there. (Though I guess i don't know how many of you are trying to trick me. =P )

No. My issue is that I am completely stocked on supplies and there's still nothing I can do about being stranded like this. I have a 16 slot backpack full of food (though I ate it all to try to heal up already), water and medical supplies - Blood Packs, Morphine, etc., and none of it is of any use to me in this situation. My issue is that I AM stocked up and yet I'm still helpless if I get injured alone.

..and there's nothing I can do about it. What's really frustrating is that, not only am I stocked up on medical supplies that I can't use to heal myself, I have all of the supplies to make some meat except for Matches which have been ridiculously elusive for me. Healing up after injury seems close to impossible in this game, I think at this point it would be easier for me to drop my bag and things on the floor and respawn and gun for where I left my things... considering that in order to heal I have to either risk interacting with another player (who will probably just kill me) or shamble blindly through town looking for matches to make some meat, which is going to be impossible due to the fact that I'm completely blind at this low health. It doesn't make any sense to me that you can't administer a blood transfusion to yourself...

It's been in development since before DayZ began development. It's design has just been influenced by DayZ since it's explosion in popularity. The only thing that looks stupid about it to me, judging from the article, is the name.

Please add a confirmation dialogue to this!!! I just killed myself while trying to go into my options. -.-

Is it possible to carry a second gun in your backpack if you have one equipped? It won't seem to let me.

I've been to like 10 deer posts and haven't found a single thing. I can't imagine I'm looking in the wrong place because there isn't much ground to cover... basically a 4' x 4' wooden square. Am I missing something or incredibly unlucky?
