Pending Changelog: Experimental Branch: 0.42.116002
DirtyDuckling replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
I only see this issue with users with Wireless connections. Whether it is on a mifi/verizon device or on their own home broadband wifi connection. The moment they plug in a network cable they seem to not have the issue. Tested this with 5 friends. -
The rate of these lovely updates is really proving a good thing. I love it! Thanks a bunch to all parties included in the development!

Love the work that the community has done and put together for this effort!!!

DirtyDuckling replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
I have had no issues since 1.7.2.6 Works great so far. I haven't tested tents/vehicles though. -

Hotfix Build 1.7.2.5 Rolling Update
DirtyDuckling replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
You don't understand what development testing is then. Also what would that eventually come to if they remove content to fix a bug. A flat land with nothing due to bugs? Just because a few people removed content to fix the issue doesn't mean the developers are willing to sacrifice that much for a temp fix or patch fix. Before anyone should post on a forum they should have developed at least one thing. It would eliminate half the whiners so people like me who have done something in their life wouldn't have to re-educate them time and time again. -

Appreciate the input. I don't feel we had to wait too long :) (not being sarcastic) -
Potential Graphical Artifacting Fixes
DirtyDuckling replied to Legacy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/81017-fix-artifacting-ffs/#entry765626 works for my ati/amd card with phenom II x6 -
Another good practice I use... center your crosshair on the artifacting. Log out and completely exit out of the game. Then when you log back in. Artifacting should be gone.
-
if you an amd/ati user I have settings that resolved my artifacting 100%. Settings as follows for the catalyst control manager. Enjoy no artifacting.. If this doesn't fix the problem. Then I have other settings to the arma game files them selves that may in tandem resolve the issue.
-
I do multi saves... 2-4 saves every time I put items in or take items out. All tent members do the same thing.. Have had no issues.
-
Already explained that the dog has to be fed with raw meat.. and that it needs water also to survive. So it makes sense that it has a bonus to animal finding skills.

[IDEA] Enable side chat with a new item?
DirtyDuckling replied to tyler@tytanis.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Actually posted this in another thread and I definitely support this idea. -
Game got boring real quick without Side Chat
DirtyDuckling replied to Shotgunned's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I would rather perfer a CB system.. like have a CB radio as an item that you can loot and put into your tool belt.. You turn it on boom side channel. You turn it off no side channel. I think that would maintain immersion and fullfill all sides. -

Hotfix Build 1.7.2.5 Rolling Update

The only glitches I noticed with friends. In Stary Sobor.. The military tents would artifact all over the place and get pretty bad. Other then that I have not seen anything else artifact. -
Hackers, and the state of the standalone game?
DirtyDuckling replied to KetchupOnTheDog's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Realistically, the only way to prevent seeing a hacker is to always be on a low pop server and make it your home. -

Thanks for this Capt0z. Good to see some information. Really makes me wonder how the tent situation will be on since I haven't see the server online in almost 2 weeks... -

This is very odd... I also have a tent up with a full load of gear on LOTC#1... -
I have yet to run into this issue, Though I make sure to save 2 or more times everytime I put anything into the tent.

DayZ Gameplay Tutorial - Beginner Guide with Tips - Stealth, Nighttime, Daytime
DirtyDuckling replied to macscottie's topic in New Player Discussion
Great guide, thanks for this! -
In my opinion. As stated by internetTAB. 90% of humanity is douschebags.. They achieve their supposed fame by taming that side of themselves. Though you give them ability to let that portion speak wildly. Then you get the resulted "CoD" gamers. Or 90% of xbox live. When you provide no consequence to your actions. You will act how your inner thoughts portray you to be as a person. Very very few hold on to mortality along with the common respect that is due to a living creature existing. It is the same concept as most hunters that don't make use of what they kill. They kill because they can or for social notoriety. You ultimately decide who you want to be. If you tried to be friendly and then decided to be non-friendly. That is more so because you didn't want to be friendly in the first place. You decide your approach to other player interaction. Same goes with the current day military. The military lets all kinds of people in. Though few actually earned the right to be in. Douschebags are everywhere. You just have to do the rest of a favor and not lower yourself to their level.

Or use DayZ Commander and refresh the server individually. -
