That's a feature, it's supposed to be your character panicking. Imagine, if you will: You're starving, thirst, have very little ammo and you see flesh rotting off of your neighbors as they eat your friends and family. One of them locks eyes with you and emits an ear bursting roar and chases you into a building. As you lay fire into people who you knew lived, breathed, loved, hated, and all other human traits, wouldn't you be upset? I know I would sob into the stock of my gun as I did this.

A few pro tips: 1. If you have room in your inventory, fill it with food! 2. Carry a second or third canteen, just in case 3. If a player doesn't see you, find their name or your location and say "XYZ or Man outside store in XYZ, FOF?" This will basically say "Do you want to kill me?" 4. If you believe a player will attack, shoot first. 5. With the 1.5.7 patch, you'll want to avoid the major cities (Stary Sobor, Chernogorsk, Elektrozovdsk, Berezino, all the airfields) until you have more practice. Stay with smaller towns. 6. Never, ever, EVER shoot a zombie unless you absolutely have to, you'll attract a horde. 7. Deer stands found in the wilderness sometimes have military grade gear in them. 8. If you see someone in trouble, lend a hand, today them tomorrow you. 9. If you decide to bandit, set traps, don't be stupid. Which would you go for, an KSK unit wandering around with an AK, or a tent in the tree line that might have loot? 10. Food and water restores your meters to full, so wait until they are blinking to consume anything, to save resources. 11. Learn to trust people, you wont get far without someone to watch your back. 12. Military grade ammunition is only found on airfields, so don't pick up that shiny M4A1 until you know you can get ammo for it. Sorry if I am reviving an old thread but I can give the admins direct proof. This kid played with my group, and since I was new to the game when he randomly disappeared and reappeared, I thought it was just a server de-sync. He also crawled on top of a roof after some guy, and shot him, claiming to have found NVG's, when I now know he spawned them. His name in Day-Z: KittyKittyPEWPEW His name on Steam/TS: ARCN (Tends to change around that, but always has ARCN in the name) I know for a fact he teleported to the airfield and back. Also, please don't think I took part in any of it, I am just trying to keep the playing field fair. I don't want to get banned for trying to help. Hope this helps, cheers. -Kane
