You can't seriously expect us to drop backpack everytime we get attacked by other survivors. Because switching skin because of humanity is the issue. I everytime drop my backpack when I use ghillie or camo clothing but when I kill someone for self defence and it switches me to bandit and resets my bag is problematic. Also the change from bandit back to survivor resets backpack and when humanity counter is reseted you won't even know when it's going to change...

Rocket please do HIVE reset. It would make all duplicated items dissapear and make rare items rare again! Maybe it will get bad again after a while but it will be good atleast for month or so, I guess..

DayZ Commander has made installing and updating DayZ very easy thing to do. It also has really good features like better sorting options than six launcher and cool features like friendlist and favourite servers. I've heard many people say that DayZ Commander works when six launcher doesn't... I think it would be really good idea to put DayZ Commander to official dayzmod.com download page. You could replace six launcher with it or put them both there so people could test them both out. Artifacting on video. http://youtu.be/rqyRd8DW_XI First clip takes place in Stary Sobor looking at tents. Second clip takes place in Cherno where there was dead bodies near black body bags.. Both recorded in version 1.7.2.5.

Graphical artifacts in Cherno. The source is dead military soldiers which are glitching with black body bags. Resetting video memory helps. Setting it from default to very high and back, and the artifacts are gone. Also countered similar artifacts in Stary Sobor, I guess it was dead military soldiers again. Did you play @ FI22 last night? I killed someone like Paul (2) from behind and you aborted right before? Was that you with ghillie and 50cal looking over power plant and Elektro?

Hey, When I first come to a server and if I start a new character my FPS (in good server) is like 60-70. When I play little time it can decrease to 40-50 FPS. If I go to a big town like Cherno or Elektro my fps drops to unplayable low 15-20 FPS. Then if I go away from these towns my FPS stays very low and does not go up. I can fix this by walking to the wilderness and then rebooting DayZ. I have tried many, many things but nothing seems to help. Lowering display/video settings does not affect this at all. I have tried editing arma2oa.cfg, I have tried RAMDisk, I have tried editing my videocard settings... I realise that many have this kind of problem and that Arma II engine is badly optimized but my friend has less powerful computer than me and he has no problems at all, simply lowering settings gives him good FPS in towns... My computer specs: AMD Phenom II 955BE @ 3.6 GHz G.skill 6 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM Asus Geforce 560 ti directcu II top 128GB Samsung 830 SSD Any tips are welcome, I'll tell you if I have tried that already... In the forest my fps us usually depending on server 30-60. In towns depending on server like 10-25. In towns it's pretty much unplayable when 10-15 FPS makes my aim so difficult. This problem is within DayZ - I have tested playing Arma II in Cherno and Elektro and my FPS was like 60 whole time.. I have tried multiple fixes and tips but nothing works... Hey, I'm at LAN-party with my friends, we are all connected to same router and can play games like League of Legends just fine. But we can't play DayZ in the same server. When we try to connect same server only one gets access in and other ones just disconnect from host somehow. Any ideas? You get Beans :beans: for a good answer :D

Why do you even post that when you don't know what the fuck you are talking about? He is obviously talking about Arma II Operation Arrowhead BETA, which you need in order to play DayZ. Please check your facts before trying to be a smartass... geez.. <_<

Yeah, my FPS gets lower the longer I play for me too, and also I get usually 50-70 FPS in wilderness/forest and when I go to a city like cherno or elektro my FPS drops to 10-15..

Nothing on those threads help most of us with good computers and bad FPS, some of those tips help people with less powered machine. Also will developers (or rocket) see these issues that good if we don't post anything, these FPS-problems are really annoying... Someone with equally powerful machine will get 30-40 FPS in towns and I will get 10-15 FPS in same towns, same server, same time! PS: This is problem with DayZ optimization, I have benchmarked same towns in Arma II and getting 50-60 FPS in same places that I get 10-15 with DayZ..

Yesterday I went on a pretty good server (had 70ish FPS at the woods/wilds) then I roamed into Berezino, which is the town north-east corner of the map and I had like 10-13 FPS playing in there... I have heard something about reinstalling or downgrading Geforce drivers to fix this problem, can anyone confirm this?

Nope, we all have different copies from Steam. Good try though :)

Really many people are getting these issues, including me. I think it's the latest 1.7.2.x patches. I know many people who didnt have any issues on 1.7.1.5. EDIT: There is alot settings and tweaks you can do, but atleast for me nothing helps with that FPS lag... You can find the tweaks in this forum.

Sounds promising, thank you for your time to write all that! I'm currently at work but I go home in few hours, then I try all that stuff and hope it works. I'll tell you if it helps! ;) EDIT: I tested this on a good server, I had to decrease that SceneComplexity from 150000 to 50000 and only like 5fps increase... Yeah now I have 20-30 fps on cherno instead of 15-25 fps, I think I have to wait for next patches and see if there is more improvement :(

Didn't know that one, now I know. Thanks! :) My DayZ experience is about week old so I have not played patches before 1.7.2.x. This sound good, gives me a lot to hope for! I'm really interested to see if next few patches improve my performance! :P

I think my CPU is pretty good but you may be right, also my RAM is really fast DDR3 RAM so that's not the problem...

Pretty good deal that I recommend is that you buy Arma II Combined Operations from Steam. I think it's 19.99 € now... You can also buy Arma II Operation Arrowhead from Steam for 14.99 € and use Arma II free with it, but it will give you horrible textures and other flaws... I bought Combined Operations week ago when it was 24.99 € because I wanted to credit the developer more and I think it's really worth the money. !BUT! You will encounter bugs with DayZ, it's still an Alpha-version. They pretty much test stuff that break things in patches, so beaware of that... You will also die many, many times but that's part of DayZ and I like it because of that :)

I know, that's why I posted this here, so people with same problem reply this thread and hopefully some devs (dunno if it's only rocket) see this and does something about it.

Oh, so this happens to Intel processors too. I thought it always ran very well on those ones :huh:
