  1. The issue at hand isn't specific to the restriction, but what's causing the kicks.

I'm looking at my server info and noticing a failure to connect with the main battleye server (The one that oversees global bans, etc).

We'll have to wait for someone "qualified" to answer our questions sadly..

  2. Battleye rolled out an update earlier today, v1.169. The server I administer constantly receives a failed connection to the main battleye server which I assume causes the new version of battleye to kick the players due to no connectivity. I'm not any more sure of what's going on than you are but I'm just thinking of posibilites.

IMO, it looks like battleye has pushed out an update to combat the hacker issue without first testing it and it's causing us server owners a shitton of grief.

None of this is confirmed I'm just spit-balling...

EDIT: My players are getting kicked for restriction #90.. whatever that is...

  3. This mod is notorious for weird FPS happenings.. You can have the most BA rig in the world and get crud FPS in DayZ..

My almost default response to these threads is that this mod is NOT optimized yet as it is still in ALPHA (Which comes before BETA).

More often than not you see people criticizing and complaining about the bugs this mod has when they have no idea why there are bugs.. Hint hint, ALPHA.

But besides that, everyone I play with gets FPS issues on every server (The server very much affects FPS by the way) and the only way to fix it that I know of is to restart the game itself.

While my ALPHA and unoptimized statements apply here, the somewhat bearable FPS lag does not..

You're getting FPS stuttering in intervals of 2 seconds or your character stops moving every 2 seconds?

  5. I searched the forums and been watching a lot of live streaming / youtube videos and have yet to see anyone have this problem.

For some reason in that picture and EVERYTIME I play DayZ i have white pixelation everywhere? Anybody know or how to fix it? (BTW all my setting are on the lowest or disabled.)

PS My game lags quite a bit too anyone know any way to help with that. Figured id throw that in here rather then making another thread. Thanks guys

The only thing that comes to mind may be some sort of graphical glitch due to a mod or bad game file. Something like this wouldn't be from VGA hardware because they would be "artifacts," which they aren't.

Best solution to things like this are a re-install of the game.

  6. Hit the refresh button on the top right and wait 2-3 minutes before joining a game, they will all pop up. It works for me.

Not sure it's totally worth sitting there for 2-3 minutes to only find out the ping :P

Most or at least most of the servers I've been on have the city where they're hosted in the title, that should give you an idea of your ping.

  7. If you don't know, google me....

Sorry, nothing worth while popped up bud. I suggest before you try to put yourself in the higher tiers of hardware knowledge that you actually read up on it a bit. FPS issues with mid-high end rigs are not local issues but server and mod issues.

    Good fight.

EDIT: Found a slight quick-fix for FPS issues and it works quite well. http://tinyurl.com/7yugof4

  8. Lol, of course it's hardware, it's not an issue other than you need a very fast cpu to run the game well, Arma2 is a cpu hog, anyone that has been playing the Arma series knows this, nubs do not, nubs need to ask questions to get themselve's educated, who r u, the net polizi?

Btw, your cpu is the problem.

Ah, so my issue is that I get 60FPS in single player but I need to buy a new "faster" CPU to get 60FPS in DayZ, makes sense bro thanks for the info.

Anyone that knows anything about ALPHA mods knows that they are unoptimized, nubs do not, nubs need to ask questions to get themselves educated (There's no apostrophe in themselves btw).

I don't think so... and I'm sorry, but who are you?

  9. I have all of these same issue with FPS dropping to cruddy levels and not bouncing back when not in "tasking" areas. But I'm having a hard time reading these posts because what a lot of you don't seem to understand is that this is an ALPHA mod, which means it's unoptimized (Both client and server side). I run the game on max settings excellently in single player without any hitches and I've played for 3 or 4 hours straight at most without any issues. It's NOT a hardware issue. Please educate yourselves a bit more on what you're discussing before coming to conclusions on what the issue may be.
