I`m torn on this issue. If doors couldn`t break bones my crew and I would never have had the hilarity that ensued when I tried to take a pepsi off the rim of an outhouse toilet (gross right, but I was dying of thirst and I planned to rinse the can off) only to close the door instead and squish myself.

perhaps a result of laughing at anothers misfortune.........

This is pretty much what my group is experiencing. Meet person, get shot. Restart, meet person, get shot. Restart, meet person and say "Friendly" and get shot. Meet person who asks for food, go to help a random guy out, get shot. Have nothing but a bandaid and a flashlight? Get shot. I have to laugh because it also always happens roughly 10 minutes after I find a gun. We take it as an omen when I happen upon a gun at this point. Every person we've met has tried to kill us. There are no nice people. Our new rule is that if you get within 50 feet or even start coming towards us and you're dead. The community is quickly turning all would-be mobile-medic/nice guys into people who will now shoot you in the head even if you've got a broken leg and no weaponry because we know you're going to go ruin someone elses life at some point.

My first life/night while trying to find my friend I stumbled upon a bicycle near Cap Golova. It was a horribly foggy night but still I was ecstatic and grinning ear to ear. Without a moments thought I hop on and start heading downhill towards Cherno at a breakneck speed (hint hint). About 4 seconds later I found a cliff and my face found a rock. My first life ended without seeing another person or even a zombie.

Everyone I've met other than my 2 friends has tried to kill me/us. With one exception of some guy I found about a kilometer from pusta with a broken leg who was bleeding, I gave him my only bandaid and told him to keep low ;). Otherwise I think my ingame face has been replaced with a target. Just last night I had gone into the church in Cherno, after finding an axe for my friend (who had just spawned his first life in DayZ and was running to cherno from komarovo) some random guy came running in. He didn't seem to care that I was there as I had a hatchet (wasn't getting in his personal space) and he had a gun. So after chilling inside with random guy for 20 seconds or so, I start to leave the church. Well at that point he decided to shoot me, knocking me unconscious, he and his friend then proceeded to pick me up and throw me off the dock into the water. I bled out not long after while flopping around in the shallow water.
