My problem is solved. The only thing I did was changing my characters appearence in the main menu, then suddenly I spawned where I should spawn. I don't know if it was a coincidence or it's the solution, but it's definetly worth a try as it doesn't cost u much effort.

Finally it works now, I just changed my characters appearence in the main menu and suddenly it works, don't know if it's the solution for the problem or just a coincidence.

Is it possible to reset a character? I'm stuck in the debug area I think (according to this:http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Known_Bugs, Problem is I see no trees or grass and I'm spawning on a hill-landscape) but relogging doesn't work (If this means to log out and back in, not sure what else could be meant ^_^ ) Also tried different servers.

After watching DayZ vids on youtube again I wanted to give it a try again. 1st. removed all Arma 2 files 2nd.Downloaded both Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead again 3rd. startet both games once to complete the installation. 4th. installed the beta patch (+edit of cmd file) 5th(a).Used Six updater to install DayZ 5th(b ).Tried to install it manually by creating the folders and copying game files Both times the landscape is still total empty, I tried different servers all the time but it seems the problem is not to be found at the servers, so it should be me. What could it be? Any other ideas than reinstall Arma2, that doesn't work obviously. Hope you can help me, even if I'm concerned I'm the only one with this problem as there seems to be no help for me :( greets edit: 5a and b means i did all the steps for a and b. i did not first use siyupdater and than install it manually. edit2: This wiki says I'm in the debug plains: http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Known_Bugs Don't know how I could figure out where east is and respawn isn't possible anymore, can I bee resetted?

I doubt that, I downloaded the game three times the last two days and nothing changed, had the same problem when I copied the files manually. After that didn't work out I thought the six updater would help but it doesn't. I also checked integrity of game cache via steam and there are no files missing..

Hi, played dayz succesfully for some time, think it was v.1.7.1 or so, I installed it manually. But then I decided to install the newest patch, that would be 1.7.2.3 I think and all the shit started. First the Landscape of the servers was empty, so I thought maybe the Arma 2 beta patch could fix it, cause many server are running it, but then I couldnt join any server. So I deleted all Arma files, downloadfed it again (Steam) and thought it would be wise to let the six updater do what I'm obviously not able to do, but with the six updater I'm able to join server again, but the landscape is still empty. I already used google on my problem and even found a Topic in this forum, discussing the same problem but there was no help to be found. So I start a new one and hope you can tell me what the problem is. I really wanna play dayz again :( greetings
