Hello everyone! I one of many members who represent a community called Unrepentant Gaming. You can find out more about us by visiting our website here: http://www.unrepentantgaming.org. A number of us recently heard about DayZ and quickly jumped on board. We love the game! We consider ourselves to be a creative group of gamers, so we're always looking for the best ways to have fun in the games we play. We're always coming up with new idea's, and we always try to go the full length to make those idea's a reality. Recently I came up with the idea (I'm sure I'm not the first) to host a DayZ server that's open to two teams of players. These teams are put against eachother in a match to either kill everyone on the other team, or to simply take a town or site occupied by the other team. They would do one or the other (or both) all while having to look for zombies. I personally don't know how the server software end of things would work, (being able to ensure only people with a certain password can enter maybe)? But we could have several people dedicated to recording each team, so that the event can go on youtube, and also acting as judges. We currently have an ESXi Server that I can put a Windows Server Virtual machine on. I have enough resources to meet the requirements of a 50 person server. I would love to do something like this and see what the outcome would be.
