  1. Just downgrade to 1.7.2.4?

    Elektro Solo Sniped a Clan

Players bitching about playing with the ingame rangefinder are just silly. As much as I hate recruit and regular server, I will of course use the built-in rangefinder if I happen to play on a regular server because I will be put at a disadvantage otherwise.

    Staff banning for exploits

I would also like to know that. I checked Ander's posting history and couldn't find such a post.

    Im done, hackers win...

There's nothing the DayZ devs can do about the hacking problem; it's a BattlEye issue. But yes, it is sad that there are alot of idiots leaving rude remarks like "stop whining", "suck it up" and so on, when hacking is a real problem, and nothing that we should pretend that we are perfectly fine with.

The best sniper rifle in the game?

As fun as the DMR is to use at times, you have to be a good shot to effectively fight other snipers at distances of 800-1000m with it, They will generally disconnect or ALT+F4 as soon as they are getting shot at. I'm personally not skilled enough to kill an enemy sniper 800m away with a headshot to make sure he doesn't combat log, so I would rather go with an AS50 most of the time. The DMR's NV-compatability is only a worthwhile advantage over the AS50's lack thereof if you play the game during its nighttime to begin with. Me and my friends play daytime 99% of the time, so it's more or less irrelevant to us.
  6. When me and my friends come across unarmed players we try to kneecap them and then trashtalk and tease them over direct comm for a while before finishing them off. I would never force someone to waste their time crawling with a broken leg, though, and I also need the extra kill on my debug monitor to feed my ego :P. In real life the victims can't hit the abort button or press ALT+F4.
  7. Yes, it is. I can speak from experience since I have kept a truck off the map for 2-3 weeks. If you have a spare account, it's easy to have your login point next to the vehicles and save them once per day, which takes maybe 5 minutes at most.

Why do my tents keep getting discovered?

It's easy to find camps considering you can limit your search grid to the western and northern forests on the map to begin with. And players that are seasoned at finding camps also know exactly where to look, so it's very hard to keep anything hidden.

    Backpack issues, items rollback

You could put the items you want to keep into a tent, relog and then put them back into your backpack before you log out if you want to be entirely safe from backpack rollbacks. From my experience these rollbacks seem to happen if you have played for a long time without logging.

Why I like to play on private hive server

Are there any good European 50 player servers with private hives that are usually full?

    What gear do you rock?

    Where is this mentioned?
  12. There are vehicles on every server. On many — if not most — servers they are being hoarded off the map, so that's why they are so hard to find.

Good job :). Yeah ... Changing the server's name because of him posting coords to a camp and destroying vehicles (both of which are completely OK, by the way) would certainly be fair for everyone that has vehicles and camps on the server.

Is the DMR a good sniper?

The DMR is a good sniper and fun to use aswell. It's perfect for ranges of 400-500m, especially if you are shooting at multiple targets that might even be moving. The downside is that it takes two bodyshots to kill someone, which gives your targets time to disconnect or hit ALT+F4 to avoid death, unless you can kill them fast enough or take them out with a headshot. Stick with it until you come across a .50 cal.

So I guess that it's completely okay in your book that admins are abusing their power as they wish because they paid for for the server, retard #2? Nevermind that small detail that most servers are connected to the hive.

Mega Camp Location -- US 1555

It's not about being a drama queen, you retard. It's about justice. Admins shouldn't be abusing their positions to gain an advantage, but they do, and when they do, it's a good deed to do what you can do to spoil their fun as they are spoiling others' fun. Now it seems like Moonchild's ban was a misunderstanding, though, so I'm not accusing the admins of the server of being abusers.

Camp found on US 405. Got six vehicles.

Good job on blowing up their vehicles. No mercy should be shown to admin abusing douchebags.

People blaming the OP because of what a hacker did are just being silly. It is the hacker that's at fault for players losing their items, not Moonchild. He was wrongfully banned and thought it was because he found the admin's camp, and because of that he revealed the clan's base for others to ruin it (the only right thing to do if an admin abuses his power). I hope he doesn't give the vehicles back. It's too nice of him to even offer it, and Scroto's post alone is a reason to either keep them or destroy them.
  19. OP, I would recommend you to go to freesidetrading.co and start a thread there. There are plenty of serious traders there looking for ghillie suits, and I'm sure you can get multiple good weapons for them. Even both of those weapons with ammo is a pisspoor offer for 9 ghillie suits. He can get much more for them.

    What gear do you rock?

At the moment I'm rolling with a MK 48, M4A1 Holo SD, M9SD, Coyote BP, NVGs, GPS, rangefinder and every basic tool. I'm considering switching the MK 48 for a DMR, AS50 or M107. Also, I have read that the M4A1 Holo SD is a hacked in weapon. Is that true? If I get banned for using it, it's enough to buy a new CD key to get around it, right?
  21. Yes, you can place vehicles off map. You just need to save them every 24 hours. It's an easy thing to do and only requires a minimal amount of time per day if you have a second account to keep near them to save them on a regular basis.

    Camps that we can raid

Sent a PM with coords to a pair of tents with some decent loot.
  23. Individual vehicles are rare, but the 20+ vehicles on each DayZ server is not a very low amount for the size of Chernarus in my opinion. If off map hoarding was fixed, it would be a common occurance for the average player to find vehicles once in a while, considering the majority of the viable hiding spots are limited to the woods on the western and northern parts of the map.. I do not oppose the idea of adding more vehicles (in fact, I think that it would probably make the mod more fun), but it would not solve the problem. At the moment a clan with enough members and time on their hands can hoard the vehicles on several servers and spend 5-10 minutes/day to save them (you just need to save an off map vehicle once every 24h to keep it off the map).
  24. Herr Robert

    Red sedan?

There's a red sedan with that name. It's legit.
  25. The problem is not that vehicles are to rare, because they are not. There are plenty of vehicles, but most groups hoard them off map. When you can just have one account to save your off map stash every 24h, it's not any problem to keep them there. That's why most players never get to use a vehicle in DayZ. I stash anything I find in the debug zone. It's pointless to spend hours repairing a vehicle only to have it stolen when I'm sleeping or at work by another group that will just stash it in the debug zone.
