There is soldier clothing, and from what I have read it can spawn in the V3S truck. That's enough for it to become duped and put into circulation, so no, it doesn't mean that you encountered a scripter (although it's a possibility, of course).

This server not getting blacklisted just goes to show that the DayZ devs don't give a shit about admins abusing their powers.

I would not recommend using autorun through terrain. The last time I did it my character ran into a tree and dropped dead. It's far safer to autorun along the western edge of the map.

Sounds like fun :). I did something similar today. I had equipped my character with a MK 48 with 800 rounds, an M16 M203 with 5-6 M203 grenades and soldier clothing for the cool look. To begin with I entered the Elektro church on a full server, sprayed some zombies with the MK 48, fired off a few M203 grenades and made a hell lot of noise. When it started to seem like no one wanted to come to me (100-150 zombies later), I went out for some hunting. I ran into a proning AS50 bandit begging me not to shoot him outside the pub, but of course I let it rip and unleashed ~50 bullets from my hip into him, and immediately after I did the same to another player inside the pub that was probably his teammate. I entered the pub, went up the stairs and got into a brief firefight with a guy with an AKM. I won, of course, but he hit me, so I went down to ~7.5k in blood. Unfortunately I was either knocked unconcious by a zombie or a bullet passing through a window as I was beginning to leave the pub, and then killed when I finally got back up on my feet and started bandaging in another room :(.

I see that you are from New Zealand, so that would unfortunately not work out too well. On the server I play on, you get kicked if you have a ping over 140, and since you are living in NZ you would end up with a ping of ~350 there.

The scripters have completely ruined DayZ on the public hive anyways, so there's no point to do anything. At this point the devs could might aswell let everyone chose what equipment to start with, have everyone spawn in Cherno and name the mod "Dayz - Cherno DM", since it's a waste of time to do anything that requires more than 30-60 minutes of time thanks to the scripters. I would recommend you to search for a private hive server. The one I play on is rarely plagued by scripters, and when it is, the admins will roll it back and ban the scripting cunts to minimize the damage. There's also less duping, combat logging and exploiting in general.

The devs could might aswell shut down the public hive. There's little to no point to play on it anymore and apparently BattlEye can't do anything to stop the rampant cheating. Me and a friend duped some gear earlier today and joined a full pop server for some Elektro DM. Within 5 minutes of play, the entire server was teleported into the air. I aborted before I hit the ground (twice) and survived, but what's the point to spend even 10 minutes running to Cherno when a sad piece of shit hacker is just going to ruin my fun again?

You will not get banned by BattlEye, but on some servers you might get banned for using a hacked weapon. I would personally recommend you to keep it.

The M240 and M24 are solid PvP weapons, so you should hold on to them unless you can replace them with a MK 48 and an AS50 respectively. You can avoid most zombies and use the M9SD on the ones that get into your way when you are in towns or villages anyways.

It is risky to trade and the AKM is a common weapon, so while it is a solid weapon for PvP, it doesn't really have any trade value.

Of course many are going to complain about it because they don't find vehicles, and rightly so. You shouldn't have to live infront of your computer or be a part of a large group to be able to actively use vehicles in DayZ. The gameplay in DayZ would greatly benefit if it wasn't possible to hoard vehicles off map. It is not fun to spend all of the time required to repair a vehicle only to see it has disappeared the next day, and to know it might be pointless to even look for it because there's a strong probability it will have been stored out of bounds. So you seriously think that players should have to search the map for 2-4 hours, and then switch server if they don't find anything? That's a fun type of gameplay you are defending.

It's pathetic how everyone is insulting the OP. He is right. The game is almost unplayable due to hackers. If it wasn't for duping I would be long gone, because it's pointless to spend hours gathering gear only to lose your progress within a few minutes of play on a populated server.

Most of the weapons are not rare because of duping, but when it comes to the legit weapons, I would have to say that the M136 rocket launcher has been the rarest from my experience.

AK-107 GL, AK-107 PSO GL, PDW SD and G36k. I have only found those weapons once. Other than that, I have found the AS50 TWS, G36 Camo SD and M4A1 Holo SD multiple times. Join a full server and it's pretty likely that a sniper — alive or dead — on top of a building in Cherno will be equipped with an AS50 TWS. I'm currently hoping to find the golden AK to go with my AS50 TWS.

I have started to play on a private hive myself, and I enjoy it much more than the public hive so far. It has good and active admins, vehicles out of bounds are automatically deleted, it is bannable to combat log or dupe and it has many regulars (there's often ~40 players on it). When there's cheaters causing problems on the server, they are usually quickly dealt with and the server rolled back to restore everyone's lost progress. It is like playing DayZ the way it was meant to be played. Not all about duping the shit out of high-end gear, heading to a hotspot to camp with an AS50 and ALT+F4 the second you hear a shot from a Makarov or a footstep, which is basically what DayZ on the public hive is all about at the moment.

I can give you one if you can give me a ride to the international hotel in Cherno.

Has this server taken care of the problem with off map hoarding? Also, where is it hosted and what's the maximum amount of players on it?

BF3 and CoD sucks because the playing field is even, though. It's more fun to have good gear in DayZ because there are alot of players running around unarmed, with pistols, shotguns, etc.

Definately the AKM. I used to drop it for M4 CCOs, but not anymore. While the aimpoint sight of the M4 CCOs is more comfortable, the AKM's iron sights are actually not bad (unlike those of the M4, M16 and AK-74 models) and its higher damage makes it the better assault rifle by far.

Can someone trade me an AS50 TWS or give one to me? I'm willing to offer basically every high-end weapon aswell as locations to camps with basically every other type of gear (Coyotes, RFs, NVGs, AS50s, M4 SDs, MK 48s, etc). DayZ has gone to shit and it's the only weapon that's actually fun to use at this point in my opinion. If anyone is willing to either sell one or give it away, that would be highly appreciated. (I'd only meet in the south by the way. I'm not willing to risk wasting 40-60 minutes of my time on this piece of junk game anymore).

You are talking as if what I do would have any effect on the game. It wouldn't, except making me waste my time even more, so it's pointless.
