Pretty new to DayZ - so I am now used to the spawn areas and can get myself set pretty quickly now a days but one thing I came across just now was a tractor - fueled but a little damaged in the middle of the forest... So I got in took a ride - the got a battleye #55 disconnect..... was this a hacked in vehicle or is it normal to find such things just lying around?

Having worked in QA in "the industry" in both Alpha and Pre-Alpha this is the best Alpha I have ever played... full stop. Of course there are going to be mobs clipping through walls, doors ceilings - getting killed by scenery and also unfair and maybe imbalanced items or changes added that people will feel are just adding to the already player on player killing shenanigans.... but wait a minute whats that at the top of dayzmod.com "Download Alpha" - please remember this...its an Alpha of what probably is going to be a genre defining game when it becomes a stand alone... so rather than being bored becasue you cant find a vehicle or get caught up in some barbed wire... 600,00+ people are not wrong and neither are the average of 150,000+ playing each day. I agree each persons perception of a game is different and you take away from your experience what you will - personally this is a job well done for a tiny team

Nah its not, it will add to the reality of you ahd to find safety to log off not just alt+f4 when you start getting a pasting...

I cant for the life of me figure how to equip a hatchet as a weapon... I have been living in the woods for ages and found nothing of use - so ventured into a few barns and stuff found ammo, flares and the like (no guns).... and a hatchet and thought yes I can defend myself.... but no it just goes on my tool belt and mocks me.... I am probably being an absolute nublet - any help would be great :-)

Hey All, Playing since Saturday and finidng things pretty much how I expected it, bleak, punishing and unforgiving. anyone recomend a good server to play on? I have been pretty much frollicking around the woods looting barns and staying out of trouble, until some duche decides to shoot me for my 1 bandage and 2 cans of coke... cheers buddy. Good job on the mod tho, the best thing I have played for a very long time.
