Holliday (DayZ)

It's nice that they finally added the Machete, but one thing that really annoys me is that it looks so tiny, it almost looks like a kitchen knife. If you look at the machete from DayZ mod it looked fearsome and dangerous. This machete is more of a gardening one, but is not even long enough to qualify for that. I have created a poll on what people think of the machete, and if It should be made bigger. It also looks ridiculous on your back since it's not even large enough to touch your back and it's just sorta "hanging" in the air behind you. Atleast make it a little longer, like the size of the pipe wrench. Thank you for your time, Holliday.

I'd personally like a hatchet/tomahawk item in the game, just a one handed axe, survival hatchet :3

Can't crack anything. It's more or less the size of a bayonet.

Maybe just a rope tied to it and slung across the back? I hate that the items just float on you...

CHANGELOG: NEW: added Blaze 95 to Kiev loot In all seriousness I think the developers should watch these protests closely as much of the gear the protesters have would be a good idea for Dayz, for example the riot shield. I've seen plenty of outfits in the Kiev Riot pictures that would look good in DayZ or outfits that are even possible to make with the current build. So keep looking devs! This is sadly as close as we can get to a real life city apocalypse :(

I know it's not politically correct, but isnt Chernarus "supposedly" a neighbouring country to Ukraine? Isnt this as close as we'll get to see the actual gear that would be available in a ex-soviet state?

Okay everybody, I have had some problems since the last update, I know it's in Alpha and all that and i'm not complaining about my purchase, I would just like to play the game again. I've written down some of the problems and I would greatly appreciate any help given to me... 1. My startup screen looks like this; 2. Whenever I join any servers I can only pick up items the first minute, then everything freezes and I cannot pick up items or open doors, even eat from my inventory is impossible. 3. I have very much rubberbanding for some reason and I can run through doors. 4. My ping is sometimes up around 200-300 even though my internet is superb normally. I would like some help or advise if anyone has it :) I would like to be able to play my favorite game again :D

I think it's just a glitch, i've spawned in at random places before, maybe someone else knows? You might have been teleported by a hacker but I don't think so.

Hey fellow survivors, how do we regenerate blood or get more blood? I've been low on blood only seeing gray, but i'm always hydrated and have food. Any tips brothers? PS; Don't trust guys in payday masks...

I know right? I think he should add the option to make a flying jump kick while sprinting...

Hello everybody. Am I the only one who thinks there are too many M4's? Or it is a too common weapon? I have yet to see a shotgun but I have seen plenty of M4's...

The only thing i demand is a black leather coat, black pants, black leather boots, sunglasses and a sawed off shotgun... i can handle myself from there...

Hello, recently i have been playing alot of DayZ, and it has come to my attention that i have killed alot of people, i have killed 8 people in the last 3 days. I have been called a bandit by many, but some players refer to me as a hero for helping them whilst they are unarmed. Normally i don't ask people to put their gun down and leave their supplies, as that would result in giving them a chance to shoot me, so i KOS if i feel forced to it. I help all the people i can, as long as i am in no danger, i am also currently leading a group of 8 people who all have the opposite morals than i do and think that we should help everyone, even the people on side chat. The only reason they stick around me is because i have the skills to survive. So what do you think? Am i a bandit?

Maybe i should just kill them all... except the ones who pull their fair share of the work

i agree that i might be more effective if i cut some of my team members, but i don't just leave people behind. And when they roll with me it isnt a democracy... it's a Doctatorship ;)

What if i yell "FEAR ME FOR I AM THE GREAT HOLLIDAY" in direct chat when i kill them? ^^

Think about how epic it would be to carry around a musket. There should be some kind of museum were you can find strange and rare weapons such as the musket, katana, broadsword and such!

I was walking up a hill in Panthera with my trusty crossbow as a fresh spawn, and suddenly i saw a bandit sniper standing infront of me, apperantly aiming down his scope as he didnt see me. I then fired a bolt into his head, and he fell down dead, i managed to get a picture of the incident but not a video :( I was then shot by his friend a minute later... Who else has had a situation like this, where a completely insufficient weapon has won over a rare and sought after weapon?

I did lose my only chance of standing behind a person and yelling "oi susy" but meh
