I love this update, but for some reason I cannot get Any flashlights to work! I've tried the headlights binding but nothing happens... No sound or light at all! Flare etc work fine. Anyone else had this problem and maybe a solution?

As far as I can tell it is a hacker, although I am wondering if there are occasional false positives due to sync issues? Might be best to play it safe for now.

I think this should be in the game, but with some negative effect to health maybe.. not humanity though as that system is a broken train-wreck of a concept. Maybe it causes occasional madness, or headaches that effect vision, or more likely a serious brain wasting disease that results in the player occasional wandering around out of control like a zombie (due to Prions). It's just meat, and in all likelihood humans WILL resort to eating human flesh when hungry enough - I would, because then I'd survive. Although I would not kill for that flesh. Maybe.... -

I understand the intention, but I fear all you would achieve is making yourself even more visible to a useless camper.. and receive a bullet to the head far quicker than usual. There is really nothing that can be done to 'fix' (notice the quotes) the rampant pointless player killing that this game has degenerated into, and I am saying that as a recovering KoS sniper (never spawn camped). The only hope is that the griefers get bored and move on to more rewarding activities or some other game. I found more rewarding activities and it is so much more fun - alas a vast majority of the griefers are so devoid of talent that organizing an event to run around the world and collect parts is likely beyond their capability. :D -

A Swarm of Zombies cresting the hills overlooking Cherno.. and a lone spawn camper, squealing with delight like a 7 year old girl on every noob spawn kill.. does not notice them until the last second.. and then it is far too late... The squeals turn into screams.. -

Don't get me wrong, I understand it is a fundamental part of DayZ, but it just doesn't seem like any skill is involved - I know, because I tried it for fun, and it's really not that fun. The person I was grouping with at the time sounded like a 7 year old girl every time we got a kill he squealed with delight.. it was just.. so... disturbing.... -

Chicago 44 spawning then disappearing vehicles

Could not get a shot due to fast respawn but on Chicago 44 I was hanging out on the far north side of NW airfield (actually crawling due to 1 hit zombie bone break) and I could suddenly hear vehicles. They were appearing instantly then de-spawning within a second. The same day at stary a bus spawned in town next to the supermarket and a dud got out. As soon as he saw me both the bus and the player instantly dissappeared. Not sure if hack... Or paranormal events. -
I'm not sure if this is an Exploit, bug, or proper game mechanic. But is it true that only the original person who looted a tent can ever pack that tent up and move it? If so.. then what is stopping any player who already has a tent from finding another tent, instantly setting it up and thus preventing another player from moving/placing that tent? The purpose of this is to seemingly 'lock' the tent to the looting player, even if they have no intention of using it until some later time (for example, after their 'other' tent is somehow destroyed?). This question came up because I found 5 tents sitting outside the supermarket in a town last night.. all empty.. and I thought, who in their right mind would place a tent in clear view.. unless their intention is to simply prevent other players from placing/moving the tent for their own purposes? Thoughts? Bump cos I'm hoping for some clarification :)

The bandit skin mechanic simply did not work.. If anything it had the opposite effect of giving survivors a moral 'way out' of the shoot on sight dilemma. I do believe there is a place in the game for something related to humanity, but as of yet I've seen very few ideas that are much different from the original. The challenge to provide: * No advantage to either survivors or bandits. * Some incentive for survivors to avoid banditry. * Some incentive for bandits to murder survivors beyond LULZ It's a tough one.. -
The empty whiskey bottles work best.. and they go further.
