Ignore the trollers you will adapt, much quicker so if you can find a good group of players to team up with. Have fun, don't get too frustrated... Only last night I was sneaking into Stary in the dead of night with a great deal of excellent equipment, I had been alive for 48 hours.. and suddenly, BAM! No warning, just sniped instantly .. death. Starting over is fun though! Don't get attached to your equipment! Enjoy the craziness of the early game!

I've been able to organize some in the past via other means, and everyone was totally cool. So it is possible. We actually went in and cleared out Cherno which at the time was overrun with camping dick-wads ... oh the tears in the side-chat were GLORIOUS I long for the day to repeat itself. They were accusing us of 'hacking' because we were able to kill them so easily when working as a team, and they were just not used to that.

Anyone interested in a real-life meet & greet? Obviously we would have to agree not to shoot each other for our stuff. I live in Minnesota near Minneapolis. Also looking for in-game players for teaming up to hunt down those dastardly roof campers/server hoppers/disconnecting losers.

No, everyone else was ALREADY a bandit. Removing bandit skins just got rid of the pointless fragile pretend state of 'I'm not a bandit I'm a goodie' bullshit that existed previously. Don't want to die? Don't announce yourself in voice comms before going into a building! Stake out the area, move around, look and LISTEN for other people. What you do after that is your choice, by first announcing yourself you already made the choice "HEY EVERYONE! I'M HERE COME SHOOT ME!"

You make valid points, but unfortunately in this post-apocalyptic world we live in they are worthless =( However... You could have tried direct voice chat. The problem is whenever I do that people start laughing at my accent. So I shooted them.

Classic fail: In the apartments in Berezino at night with my lovely new FN FAL with nightscope, and suddenly see someone out side take a pot-shot towards me. Jump to the ground.. which in this case happened to be the stairs, and I'm thinking.. oh I better be careful, so I shift slightly to the left and CRACK break both my legs start bleeding and then glitch into the wall.. I can't move, I'm stuck in a wall, with broken legs and someone is coming for me.. So I quickly disconnect and re-connect back to the same server (no, I don't do this to avoid death I was stuck in the fucking wall)... And I'm unconscious, and I'm bleeding, and my legs are broken, and I'm STILL STUCK IN THE WALL.. until I died, before I came to. I never even got to fire that weapon once =( I dare you to suck more than me.

It's easy mate.. just have to be careful to follow the steps closely.. Items needed: Your backpack with all the items you want duped, and a road flare. Also this ONLY WORKS DURING NIGHTTIME. Go to the center of Cherno, Electro, or Berezino, light your road flare and start running in gradually widening concentric circles.. just make sure to run as FAST AS YOU CAN and avoid buildings they make the glitch stop working. Eventually you will wake up on the beach, with a terrible hangover. Unfortunately this method causes all your items to be stolen but it does work honestly.

You have never been able to pick them up? Even if in mid-air (does happen) I can pick them up - you just have to be careful about targeting the bolt itself instead of the NPC model. I find that moving back a little bit then slowly moving forward while looking at the bolt tends to help somewhat.

Sometimes the seem to disappear completely, other times you can see them but not loot them. Most of the time I can see the bolt and carefully mouse over it until it shows 'Take Steel Bolt'. I too, love the crossbow - it is by far the best zombie weapon.

WTF I must be a total dumbass... not matter what I try I cannot get the flashlight to work. I've re-installed, remapped my 'headlights' key.. and it just does not work.. Anyone have any tips on what may be the problem? I'm on a GTX 460 on windows 7 x64 have HDR on etc. Downloading the latest WHQL drivers now, but so far each driver has no change. Everything else works great!

Wait.. So this game isn't PvP oriented? Damn for a second I must have been mistaken due to: * Guns. Lots of guns. * Bullets for guns. * Other players are squishy, and bleed when bullets for guns are fired from guns at squishy player. * Once squishy player is dead, I can loot his/her items.. Bonus! Obviously something is wrong, and Rocket needs to add the following features to the game to fix the PvP! * No more guns. * No more bullets for guns. * Players are invincible. * Stuff is free. * Magical unicorns canter around the landscape pooping mysterious love cookies that you can loot to instantly win the game. That would make it so much better!
