Gee man, its only a few bucks (less than an hours work) Why not get it and get used to the engine? So many different things you can do in arma, play different mods, make missions, Plenty of tuts to learn from. Money well spent =)

Use the arma exe in the expansion/beta directory.

Its not hard, I average around 1k a week. But I kill everything that moves =) You find that some weapons might only agro a few that are very close to you, then others that you see keep walking, even though they are close by! But the Lee Enfield and FnFal seem to agro everything on the map!

Can you pick up bear traps? I thought you can only set them? I found my first on in a farm building door, about 1 foot off the ground. Only option was to set it. Dont get attached to your gear!

Pc gaming and cheap budget don't belong together! Have you had a look on ebay?

In commander, go to settings, Down were it says Game Directories, Change the Dayz Directory to were it is on your ramdisk. Also check the override box above it. This works for all the mods also =)

Blood bags are found at hospitals =) Raid a supermarket for some canned food. But seriously you need to hunt some animals. You need hunting knife, axe and matches to cook it.

Hard drive will give you that effect as well. You could try a ramdisk - see if that fixes it. Or go SSD =)

You need to play arma bro. Fuel, Repair, Ammo trucks and many more are all in the game. + you can tow them all and have a convoy :D

Good find, I found a pair, then next loot spawn found the SVD_Camo - Was very happy. Jumped into a chopper with my mate....lol I commented on how his flying skills have improved. Next thing I start seeing the ground. Na thats desync Im sure of it. Then your dead screen pops up...lmao, my mate gets kicked from the server. He logs back in and gives me the coords, I respawn and head to the crash site. As soon as I seen my body it disapairs.....Oh well thats Dayz for ya =)

I started playing Quake 1 as Sgt Gore. same through Q2 then came Kingpin and I joined a clan called Fuck You! You can find Some Kingpin: Life of Crime on youtube. After a few years of playing our leader was shot dead in crossfire between two rival gangs. As I changed games I used F.ck_U|gore, to pay homage to him. Then same admins banned my name because it was offensive. So I changed it to Fu|gore. So many people use this name these days its hard to use it :P When playing RTCW/ET in the clan scene - it was shortened to Fully on voice coms =) SA I will change to Kung Fu|Gorey Panda or some shit like this =)

^^ Dude, just reopen it to see if they stayed were you set them. These configs are here "C:\Users\Your PC ACCOUNT NAME\Documents\ArmA 2" folder. For most default systems. Drawing no extra frames for advance frames does help with lower/middle systems. Not only is drawing currant frames, it also draws the next thousand, or what it is set to. Team bandit is the only way to go! We havent met a few hero's - because of this skin we have not KOS. He come over and gave us both blood transfusions. Lol dident realize how colourful this game is =)

How much bandwith does Dayz use in an hour?

At a guestimation I would say you would be looking around 30mb per hour. (16 mb down/ 14 mb up) That excludes patches and chopping and changing server every 5 seconds, as you use more traffic when you join a server. -

lol, 3 dead snipers fully kitted out near Pustoshka, I took the SVD_Camo. After looting the dead snipers seen the V3S Civilian close by =) My pack was not big enough....lol

lol. I had similar situation the other night. All I had was a crossbow, seen a dude running straight towards me, so I hide behind a tree. Knowing I was out gunned, started talking on dc, dude goes prone, I fired a shot, the white dot disrepair's off the screen. I move closer and then hear the flies =)
