I had the same issue, and found it was a hard drive issue, not reading/writing fast enough. I installed a ramdisk and that fixed it. Now I am running a SSD. -

Dxtory FPS Drop When Recording HELP!

Yep it is the way it is. You have to take your pick between small loss of fps and big recorded file sizes from fraps or bigger fps loss and smaller files with dxtory. I use dxtory. -

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\@DayZ is the default location.

Update your battleye client from there site. http://www.battleye The .dll goes into your ........\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye directory.

You AO patch 1.60 and 1.62 + beta patch You need to run the game. Install Dayz Addons and the Dtr folders are the only folders you need from Arma 2 to make it combined operations. Create a shortcut: Right click desktop or folder location of your choice. You could try making a 400mb ram disk, see if that helps?

@DayzOrigins is its own mod, you need to download it, it is about 1.25gig in size =)

reinstall the battleye client files, from there web site. they go in .....\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye directory.

Sound like your shortcuts are incorrect. Need to make sure the shortcut is pointed to the correct mods to run DayZ. As an example it should look like this! "C:\yourlocation\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;@DayZ;" -

Why delete both? You need to work out what versions you have first? Need to download and install arma 2 patch 1.05 and 1.11 http://www.armaholic.com/list.php?c=arma2_files_patches_official run the game. Need to download and install arma2 operation arrowhead patch 1.62 =) http://www.armaholic.com/list.php?c=arma2_oa_files_patches_official then add the lastest beta patch =) http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php Run it, close it. then install dayz 1.7.6.1 =) Job done! Yes - Make sure you run them both after install, Make sure they are updated to latest patch. Add the beta patch. And add the "-mod=......" to your shortcut target line.
