After you download and install run everything to at least the menu. Get the arma 2 beta patch version 103718 is the one your after. Dayz is a mod, so you need to download that or just use dayz commander to get. Dayz mod is the first one in the install/update tab of commander, just click install for version 1.8.0.3. Im not sure about that error! I did not think that chopper in dayz! If you were playing 1 year ago. The only thing you need update id @DayZ mod and beta patch to version 103718! That is all that has changed in that time.

BS! Nuclear power plants - smoke stack is just condensation of water vapor. You might see smoke and/or hydrocarbons from some of the auxiliary plant systems, such as the emergency diesel generators, but that is a secondary thing.

At a guess your not using the correct mods to play on that server. Dayz is a mod, so is every other different version of dayz. Arma is very fussy about what mods are used to play on a server. Deleted stuff is saying you have not activated these mods to play on this server, when you launch your game. Or You dont have the expansion and beta running. I brought a new rig late last year, loaded with windows 7 home edition. Microsoft had some deal on that got you windows 8 pro 64 for 20$ <--- who is going to turn that down? :D I know ir runs Arma way better than windows 7. Once you learn to use the metro interface and customize it. Then pin a start menu to your task bar there is no different to any other windows operating system. I few screeny's of them both So after almost 1 year of using, I think its being one of the less buggy o/s I have used. Anyway Have you tried using a Ramdisk? Google has a few tuts on how to install dayz to ramdisk. Basicly loads Dayz to ram to get that faster read write, that you do not get from with your hard drive! Just uninstall if there is no difference.

Might run well for us kiwi's. But what is the point of playing when they are asleep and vise versa! I even find Au players like to start late. With the 2 or 3 hour time difference. I like to start playing around 7pm by the time au players want to start playing around 10 pm or 11. So make's for some late night entertainment :D
