DayZ standalone will use Real Virtuality 4 engine!

The game is following the minecraft model (No micro transactions, no monthly fees, you pay once and you get the full game including content updates). Guild Wars (B2P) follows this model however Major content packs cost $20 (These add 20+ hours of extra gameplay + features + zones etc and are released anually or every 6 months). Both models work well and are fair. ArenaNet has been doing very well and so has Mojang. Both of these models would work well. -
Simple solution *10 minute server change countdown timer (starts when you quit the server and you will be denied access until the timer expires) *Deals with server hoppers and people who relocate to kill you because they now need to spend 20 minutes total to kill you due to them hopping between 2 servers *60 second logout timer (To logout you must not move and stay static, if you get damaged by anything the timer stops and you must reinstate the logout procedure, any player movement or shooting also resets the timer) *Deals with people who are chicken and don't want to fight *2 minute Forced Disconnect penalty (Unplug cable, Alt-F4 etc). Your character stay in game for 2 minutes as a penalty for not successfully exiting the game correctly, the character stays and is immobile and can be killed freely within the 2 minutes) *Killed player loot is saved server side and does not de-spawn even if player commits a forced disconnect as the player is swapped to a civilian AI. Most of these will be net code changes and require a retooling of the logout system and login system. What does everyone think?

They have been disabled (The ones you can fly because they desync with the server and cause erratic behaviour). Other vehicles are unaffected

In Planetside there was a 30-60 second countdown timer to disconnect, a box would pop-up in the middle of screen if you tried moving it or anything it would abort the disconnect and if 1 bullet grazed or if you took any damage the timer would be aborted. If you moved or clicked your mouse the timer aborts and you have to restart it again via ESC>Disconnect. If you ALT-F4 your body stays on the server for 60 seconds till someone kills you. It worked very well. This will pretty much stop people from disconnecting to avoid death. anyone else think such a system is good (It encourages disconnecting in safe areas and not hostile areas)

Direct chat works 100% with the latest beta patch and the latest dayz version (everyone is forced to use the beta it if they want to play dayz). Grab yourself a Zalman MIC. http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ its only 9 bucks and it clips on your clothes or headphone cord its non intrusive. -

Killing a guy with no gun inside city = bad because the zombies will hear it and you ll never get anything off the guy anyway. The only thing he might have is a canteen and food and trust me a bullet is not worth it for that when there are 20 zombies near by idling when you can get that in a nearby building. Its better to team up with him and give him a side arm. Most people I have met are surprised by the generosity and usually tag along. Safety in numbers (Even better if you can get him on TS3 private channel). You never know you could make a friend and he or she will return the favour when you die. -
The best way now is to go in groups and set up a firing circle. Being alone in town is a sure way to die

Its a server side issue not client side once the server admins edit the scripts.txt file and remove one line. Fix yours scripts.txt and remove the 5 alex or similar line. BattleEye will now work correctly. This is pretty much to "Lock" the gamma values to server side defaults. So tampering with local gamma has no effect because it gets overridden with server side settings. This effectively now means Chemlights, NVG's are a must on Night Time. -
That is internal body temperature. The DayZ temperature gauge monitors the outside temperature (IRL Your body will self regulate to heat/cold increases to ensure it stays at the optimal 37.2 range, sometimes it cant handle really large increases like 60 c and stuff starts shutting down, too much stuff shut-down and your dead). Internal body Temperature is different to external environment temperature. Keep that in mind. Dayz tracks the environment temperature and not the internal temperature. So 42c outside would be around 37.5c-37.9c Internal body temperature.

Global VOIP will be used instead but its been range limited (Global is not afflicted with the Direct VOIP selectPlayer bug) So i think rocket has modified the global VoIP to only work within 50-100 meters. This seems like a simple fix. I assume rocket wants to use ACRE + Radios + TS3 instead of the current system.

The only reserve slots i can accept is for Developers, Admins, Donators (This includes clan members who acutally pay money to their clan for DayZ server directly) Its only fair imo. The admins can kick or ban GUID's outside the game as the RCON tool allows this. However the admin is sometimes needed in game to monitor the chat + players suspected of hacking.

This screws the bandits more than anything a cz550 or lee enfield will now pretty much attract 50 zombies to their location which means they are stuck until someone rescues them. -
Beta Patch 92612 fix direct chat !!

Install the beta patch Type this in the steam ARMA2:OA launch options. "-mod=D:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;@dayz" -nosplash (For those that installed @dayz in ARMA2:OA folder.) That will launch the mod, combined operations and the beta exe. -
So the VOIP is still broken even though the MOD doesn't touch the VOIP system?
