I live 10 minutes from Amsterdam, I will let that one answer itself ;) I'm always about having fun, love to have a laugh - just trying to steer clear of the screaming kids (and adults at times o.O). All good if you're not a Vet or anything, just looking for people to play with in a somewhat organized fashion.

On the FOURTWOZERO DayZ server we are trying to create an environment, on public hive, that caters for styles of playing that are normally ruined by deathmatching players, scripters, and hackers. On our server you will find we encourage players to take the game a little more seriously. By following a few simple guidelines, we hope to establish a server that offers more opportunities for player bases, trading outposts, supply camps, medics, and more. If this sounds like something that interests you, you’re already someone we’d like to have as a part of this movement. We keep a close watch on our server, and we'd like to attract the right-minded people to play on our server and call it home. Our server is home to a healthy population of regular actual friendlies, some bandits who take their role seriously, trading outposts, supply camps for fresh spawns (also useful for you loot cycling noobs), and more. We encourage a no KoS rule for unarmed players unless they somehow provide an immediate threat (like trying to aggro groups of zombies on to you), but fully support and endorse proper PvP and tense situations - the way they were intended. We will also be launching a DayZ Fallujah Private Hive server soon, with several overpowered military weapons removed and tweaks made to provide a more realistic and balanced survival experience. Would love to have you, have my own DayZ server - can show you the ropes, some more advanced tips and tricks and take you on proper bandit adventures (aka robbing, attacking realistic targets not fresh spawns). Mature, but can have a good laugh and play a little more on the tactical side - have fun during the marathon walks, but serious go time when the shit hits the fan. It's an ArmA server, not a DayZ Private Hive, does is still belong in this forum? Sorry - figured it was best suited in off-topic since it's not DayZ related.

We need them :). After DayZ dragged me back to ArmA I got the bug again and had to buy some rack space - working on getting a few servers going with some interesting missions, currently working on making an even more persistent version of MSO. Will see you on the server :)

Pretty boring, but I thought i'd share anyways. 10 minute montage of some killing / screwing around on DayZ Utes.

So many rude responses, but yeah you're really out of luck. The rules only apply on the official hive run by the dayzmod team - not the hive run by Vilayer which is privately run and not supported by the dev team. Your best bet will be to contact vilayer and report the problem directly to them: http://www.vilayer.com/cl/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=3 If he is connected to Vilayers private hive they may do something, but if he is running his own hive then he is free to abuse his powers as much as he pleases.

Isn't it kind of obvious? A private hive loses all its benefits when it expands.. the only reason private hives are any good are because they are small or singular server clusters. I play on private hive servers that consist of 1-3 servers with strict joining processes because then I know it's going to be relatively hacker and server hopper free. If you expand a private hive, how is it any different from the public? Of course it's going to have the same issues.

We were that clan, the clan I am in were regulars and well known on the server - we killed and stole vehicles from one of the admins, he then abused us in side chat with his friends and everytime we responded to defend ourselves he threatened to ban us. He kept on trying to provoke us, some responded and argued with him trying to defend themselves from accusations of being hackers etc (which the admins knew none of us were, confirmed by another admin after log check). They banned our whole clan and the admin went unpunished. We did argue back with the guy, but his actions and abuse across side chat was unnacceptable in the first place. The real lesson learned was don't kill a cherno camping sniper who has admin access.

Am I the only person who uses it properly, around their base?

My first DayZ video, enjoy. A clan of ragtag bandits and survivors sets out across the post-soviet state for just another average day in Chernarus.

I was at Balota airfield tents, looking for more ammo for my weapon. Another player is in there and has a DMR on his back, but low geared otherwise. I call out to him from my hiding spot and tell him to drop his weapon, he does so, I tell him to leave. He says okay and then tries to hide in a tent. I wait two minutes and laugh as he spins around trying to find me - then I tell him that I asked him to leave, stand up and start dancing, he tries to open fire with a revolver, one tags me, I return a shot and he drops to the ground. Bandits Killed: 1 When you can't find bandits to kill, make people in to bandits.

The song is In the house, In a heartbeat by John Murphy. @Cerebral - Yeah, I could have gone for the normal method of mocking something together in the ARMA II Editor but I wanted to make a video that was made up of actual gameplay on servers with real players. The video wasn't actually planned to be like this, I just had a bunch of footage from various things my clan were doing (basic gameplay like you said) and this is what came out of it.
