Reargh

I was trying to connect a server it stuck on loading screen and i closed my game then i tried to connect again same server then server changed my location i was in a forest now i'm at an ocean but it's not deep so i can walk where i am. i dont want to swim to coast because i heard you can lose your items when you swim. :( I really need help here.
