had these problems: "You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus" and when i started the game i got "ca_dubbing_counterattack" i solved the issue and thought i´d share it: what i did was i copied the addons map an put it in the arma 2 operation arrowhead map like this: copied this map: C:\Program\Steam\steamapps\com­mon\arma 2\Addons and put it here: C:\Program\Steam\steamapps\com­mon\arma 2 operation arrowhead and heres a link on another way to do it: http://dayzmod.com/f...your-oa-folder/

Hello, I was wondering what you concider the best way of obtaining a weapon. Here is the deal, I have played ALOT of dayz(the mod to arma 2) and now that i started playing the standalone i have encountered a problem. I play and i get almost fully geared all the time, plenty of food, water, medical supplies, backpack, tools, axe you name it, but i cannot find my self a decent weapon and end up dying when i encounter people(since being friendly obviously never arrived to the standalone). I can find like a mosin, sporter 22, pistol and sometimes shotgun but i never find a magazine, and running around with 1 bullet in the magazine isnt really optimal if you run in to 4 bandits. The mosin can chamber more of course but i rarely have the ammo needed. I was told balota airfield was an excellent spot to get a good weapon and some magazines and i have been there several times and found barely anything, it went so far that i tried to server hop at balota airfield to see if that really was a good spawnpoint for gear, I cannot even count how many servers i visited and barely found anything. This server hopping was for testing only. So now is my question where do you recommend to go? Best regards, Northling

Its nice how many responses i get, at least the help in the forums are as good as it was :) So if anyone have time could you explain your typical spawn routine? and what is your favorite spawn point and why? :) There are alot of thing that is different in this game so just want to make the best of it :) spent 30 min to run to the NE airfield to find that the hangars and barracks wasnt there >.<

Then i guess its back to head mapping like the old dayz :) i usually use the browser map when im totally lost :P

I thank you for your replies, much appriciated. While im at it, is there away to put waypoints on the map? finding a gps or something to make it easier to move across the map? since there are new buildings and all making it hard to roam the map by memory like in the mod.

havent been on for a long time, is this still a common problem?

you could also try the dayz commander, works better in my opinion ^^

no i did not take all the little files just the the addons folder and put it into arma 2 OA folder

i am glad i could help since i to pulled my hair not knowing what to make of it, and after hours of searching i finally found the answear.i also think this should be pinned to the front page since ive seen loads of posts about this problem and not many of the way to solve it, have tried to contact the dayz team about it aswell without answer. /// Nortling

i had no addons folder in OA i simply copied the addons folder from arma 2 to OA i use the arma 2 free, and u are not suppose to move the addons folder only copy it and paste into the OA folder

by map i mean folder, mixed up english and my own language sry :)

so to make a long story short me and my friends found our very first helicopter and when we parked it and looted a place everyone got "session lost" message and when we enter the game again the helicopter is gone and its not at the last save point. where could it be?

np happend to everyone on the server i was playing on except me and 1 other guy ^^ got a bit confused aswell when all my m8s got banned

it was some type of problem with the new battle eye patch and got fixed almost instantly, hope this made it a bit more clear for you :)
