My suggestion for you is to look at the contour lines (elevation lines) on your map. Are you on an EXTREMELY steep hillside? If so, look for contour lines on the map that are extremely close together. If you don't believe that you are going to be able to do this then you might want to consider running straight or whatever until you find power lines. From there, just follow the power lines. They will lead you to the nearest town which you can then look for a sign just outside of the city that will give you the city/town's exact name. -
You'll get used to it, just do what I do and play on 1-20 player slot full servers, it's much better with more bandits but more less of a chance to run into them.

Singleplayer is not needed. What is needed is the ability to start your own LAN server... I mean, the amount of bandits and hackers in this game gets on my nerves and is completely unrealistic. Unless you're a hardened criminal, ninety percent of humans have extreme mental breakdowns and issues after murdering another individual in cold blood solely for their stuff. So, sorry OP, no thanks. What might solve this though is a LAN server so that people can play with their friends over LogMeIn Hamachi like I often and like to do. -
Rocket said it himself that melee weapons are going to be an extremely large part of DayZ standalone. No need to add them in now when they are bound to be added in standalone. To the iron armour-... I say a big fat no. Why? Because where in God's name would you find IRON ARMOUR in a present day Russian set zombie apocalypse? To add to that, I'm sorry, but even if I found heavy set armour in real life, I wouldn't wear it unless it was made for flexibility with things such as riot armour and swat gear. So... basically, no. Character customization is fine as it is and isn't needed right now... it's going to be added in standalone, says rocket.

In the darkest souls within those who plays DayZ, one might find that settings can change rather quickly — in fact, almost instantly one can be in one place and then another. Nobody knows how this happens or who is the leading cause of this particular situation, but they do say that the people who demonically play this game for their own enjoyment are those who make this destruction happen. They give these dark hearts a name, they're called... ...hackers.

Basically, my stories in DayZ are endless. This one's a good one. I play with a couple of twelve year olds and a sixteen year old in a group. All of them are American, except for one. At one point, we all were regrouped in Cherno', and we sat in the firehouse slowly going out in groups of two to get supplies for all six of us. We decided to move to the supermarket after me and my friend Jason had looted it as it had too many supplies for us to carry back. Everyone moved to the supermarket and we all started looting. Then, the setting changed immediately. Like, literally. We all got TP'd by a hacker and died. Isn't that a cool story?

Basically, if you're "too lazy" to run anywhere, you really shouldn't be playing this game (no offense). This game includes a lot of tedious running back and forth to towns to get loot for vehicles, friends, and et cetera. I'd suggest taking my usual route. I go from Cherno to the Vysota area, which has three high value barn loot areas. From there you can then go far aways north to Zub, a castle based area with two good loot spots that will usually get you a ghillie/camo clothing and/or a decent backpack including ALICE packs. The great thing about Zub is that it is located on top of a hill just south of Vyshnoye and you can usually scan the area for survivors before going to that city. Once you go to Vyshnoye, you can then take the dirt road that leads you north to Stary Sobor, which is a high value loot place as it contains around twelve military tents. Good luck.

No. Just... no. Rocket isn't a money hungry whore mongrol like most game developers. Listen to a few of his interviews, they wouldn't even come close to hinting that he would ever do such a thing like this. He just wants to put out a fun game at a cheap price that millions can and have had a blast playing. TL;DR, no. -

I like the idea, but I believe that it would be better off just by making it so that you'd most likely rather waste your ammo on zombies than people, as people most likely would take more bullets and are slightly easier to avoid, whilst zombies in their current state could be deemed "Mike Tyson" with their epic headbutts of death. Possibly making it so that heros (since there's a humanity system) have better loot chances, maybe, each piece of military and car part loot has a one percent more chance of spawning? I don't think that perks would do much, as it would be too overwhelming and OP to be a hero, and someone could just get hero status and then kill everyone they see with the new perks. -
To buy or not to buy

The WarZ is almost garaunteed to be a scam, watch a couple of videos on YouTube about it. Most don't even think it's in production and some including myself believe it's just a dterrent to get people NOT to buy Rocket's amazing game. DayZ standalone is going to be equivalent to Minecraft as it's in development. Impending updates, a new and unforseen game, et cetera. DayZ all the way. -

Yeah yeah yeah, there are plenty of other threads on this, but none of them seem to have actual answers... I was shot twice, one in the leg, and once in the torso, by a Makarov, accidentally by a friend whilst I was looting a deer stand. I fell over, with broken legs and bleeding. I checked the unconcious timer, and it wasn't moving, so I attempted an ALT-F4 relog. It still wasn't moving, so even though I had such good loot, I'd thought that I would just attempt to wait out the unconcious timer. It didn't work, but for some reason my bleeding magically stopped without even being bandaged by my friend. We aren't anywhere near a possible epi-pen spawn, could you possibly give me a solution?

New PC build - What could I expect with this & settings to use???

Try to bump up the GPU and processor. For a lower GHZ level, you could get two more cores. I run a six core AMD, and you could also get a GTX 550 or 570, I personally have the 570. Current rig, low-medium settings 60 FPS. -

For all of those that have not been informed, we are most likely going to end up getting dogs in one of the future updates. Well, since the bandit to survivor ratio is accurate in this ratio: 15:1, which isn't how it should be at all, the survivors could use a little boost, right? I think so. And with the (hopefully) new dogs being added whenever, this is how we should do it. TL;DR: Look below. We make it so that when a survivor has enough murders and becomes a bandit, one cannot have dogs (which, as rocket said, will aid in scavenging and be able to "sniff out" items for you, I think). If a person is a bandit, they might show so and a dog might be scared of them. However, a survivor, of which might appear to be more friendly towards a lone dog, might have a better chance of being followed by the dog. TL;DR: Survivors can have dogs. Bandits cannot have dogs.
