Haven't played my xbox for more than maybe 12 hours total in the last 3 years. Might save money on the system for the games it plays, but when you're paying $60 for Skyrim a year after release while everyone on a computer only pays $30-40 bucks, and that's the same for every game, it adds up after a while. Besides, old multiplayer games die on a xbox too fast to be worth purchasing once they're cheaper.

These games also had a nifty "flagging" system which really really helped. Until they figure out some decent way to determine the aggressor, it's hard to introduce a working "red" system. It would be interesting though. -
Looking at a listing of modern carbon arrows it seems like the average weight is around 380 grains, which is just over 24.6 grams with some rounding. So maybe a pound and a half for each carbon arrow. Not sure how realistic that would be lol Derp, physics unit conversion fail. Glad that seemed so dumb I double checked it. They're actually closer to .06 pounds each. Maybe. Multiplied by 200 and you have around 12 pounds. Still seems off but whatever. They could be 5x as heavy and that is at least feasible.

I like the idea of gaining back blood from being at max nourishment (food and water), but this would have to be a short lived bonus forcing you to eat/drink a lot to gain back health. Otherwise, what's the point of bloodpacks at all? If they aren't the best way to regain blood (which they should be), they're useless. -

If it's a laptop, just make sure it doesn't have "integrated graphics" for the most part. If it has a Nvidia or ATI card it should work just fine in the $300+ range. I'm playing this game easy peezy at lowest settings on a 2.4Ghz core2 Duo, 4Gb RAM, Win7, and a Nvidia 9500gt.

Um, how does this work unless you're forced to play on one server? Period, ever, end of story - one server. I like the idea if that's what you are suggesting. Maybe make tents a way of safely logging out, perhaps to even switch servers via tents.

Well, a 550 is pretty damn nice for a 3 year old engine. My only thought would be your windows version/RAM? Cause at max the ammount of rendering and loaded textures etc. must take up a heap.

After starving to death with broken legs, crawling through a blurred grey abyss for nearly 40 minutes I would easily vote for them to slightly reduce those effects lol It's awesome, but the severity at around 6k is enough to give me a real life headache, nevermind sticking it out to the bitter end. Also, anyone else notice the permanent deafness from broken legs? I broke a leg in a barn the other day and I couldn't hear zeds at all hardly for the next 20+ minutes (until death by AKM).

? Or you could not let unsanctioned weapons persist and simply get rid of the damn thing. Real question is, does it have any ammo anyways? Haven't played enough ArmA 2 to know whether its compatible with the Mk48's 7.62 rounds.

Flat, no shit in the way, it places in front of you slightly. Haven't had too many problems other than it randomly deciding to work and giving me a horrible location lol. At any rate, it's still pretty terrible at the moment. Too many horror stories.

F is the default mode cycle key. It also switches to flares and grenades though, so be forewarned if you press it too much by accident lol.

It is still a nice idea for sure. Something similar to the death recap that Project Zomboid has basically, which is another awesome alpha zombie survival type thing. Only its single player and isometric graphics lol. But they got that part dead on.

Until they implement radios or somesuch there's really no way to keep in contact over longer distances, which is also pretty game breaking and unrealistic (and just fucking lame). Well, with voice chat I mean, before I get 100 people referring me to the chat system lol. Can't type very well when you're taking fire. -
Same thing happened earlier. I try to turn partially in a doorway, *wham* leg(s?) broken, unconcious for 1m or so. I regain conciousness and, well, I know I can't turn now, so I try kneeling to turn around and orient myself properly. As soon as I kneel *wham* instadeath, -4300 ish hitpoints. Wtf?

Why do some people walk slow in DayZ?

Um, stupid suggestion, but if you click your right mouse button without a gun equipped, it still tries to "look down the scope" and will lock you into a walking speed. Not sure if this helps at all, but I've never had anything similar happen unless it was related to that.
