  1. I'm against sniping for fun. It's like what the American's did to the bison: eliminate them. No, they didn't need food, no, they didn't need fur. Just to kill. To hurt. It's stupid. If I kill somebody, I kind of say "kudos" to them, for giving me the stuff to survive a little longer.

    People who call themselves bandits.

My main advantage is hiding. If somebody is being threatened, and they don't know from where, they are more likely to cave. They set their weapons down, and I shoot them until they are unconscious. Steal their stuff, bandage them up, leave some morphine (and a single clip for their secondary) leave painkillers and disinfectant. It's like farming. Steal all their good stuff so they constantly have to search for better weapons and more food. They never have time to make runs to the NWAF or NEAF, must instead focus on survival. Keep them playing in this state until you're ready to let them advance.

    Motivation for being a bandit?

I generally avoid. If contact is unavoidable, I disable. If that is not good enough (they are very close, I do not have the upper hand) I usually go for the stun type ordeal, rise out of brush in front of them holding a flashlight. Some will shoot me, but I duck back down and rollll. Some will be shocked, giving me time to state my intentions (generally getting them the hell out of there) and some will run. If they run, I blow off their legs and rob them.

I'm not a bandit, I just love the hunt.

I'll admit he's probably pretending over the top, what he's saying genuinely frightens me. I'm more of a pacifist bandit, if you can call it that. I set up traps to disable them and forcibly steal from them.

    chopper hunter

Ha, just get the main rotor assembly, one scrap metal, one engine parts, one fuel tank parts, and three jerry cans (full). This is enough to get whatever heli you find into the air to land it next to a gas station (for fill/refuel) and industrial buildings for scrap. A lot easier to take the heli to the parts.

    What did you feel?

Aah, I've never really killed anybody out of cold blood. I'm more the *use surprise element, get them in shock, give them orders, shoot for disobeying.* I've killed "bandits" (the type that shoot first) before, but that's it.

    Finally, I find the AS50

It was probably a trap. It sounds like a good idea for my next robbing trap: place bear traps underneath the valuable loot and hide on a ridge maybe 200m away.

    Curious.. Camo and Ghillie?

No, camo and ghillie should not produce any main bugs. If you wear ghillie, your backpack will disappear, but this is only cosmetic. You will still have your backpack and it's inventory. I recommend the camo though. I've laid in the middle of those groups of dead soldiers and hidden from enemy bandits before (you know, the overly hostile ones.)

Will never pick up a grenade again

Usually you can use flares to a better extent. They're a lot safer than using grenades. Also, the grenade launcher works quite well, but don't expect to do much shooting with that busy sights.

You Say Bandits Are So Awesome... NO WAY

Thank you nicely, well mustachioed man. @ZombieSniper, I hear they're in barracks too. I have never found one, and if I did I would probably need my Alice Pack more, seeing as it's just two of us. @Ivanuvo, we've made a pact if one of us is in peril situation, they are ditched. No use risking your life. Although, he always takes point and it's nice to have a little indicator of where snipers are :P. And if he had not been here, I would have skedaddled, and never found those awesome guns and ghillie suit.

    M4A3 CCO

I've recently acquired an M4A3 CCO. The wiki says it has both a laser designator and a flashlight built in. Does anybody know which commands operate which function? I'd love to have this as the main weapon for my squad's support gunner, as it would be versatile for targeting and night operations.
  12. So, me and my best buddy are riding around in two separate cars we had (admittedly) stolen from a campsite. We drive North-Northeast from Cherno (the route by Little Hill) until we hit Mogilevka. At this point, we are desperate on fuel, so we park up the car with the smallest amount of fuel and head a little north along a dirt road. I tell him to pull over into the forest, we set up a campsite, and eat some food, drink water, consolidate ammo, the stuff you normally do. My buddy goes afk but doesn't d/c, so I hang around to guard him. I set up underneath a tree overlooking the main roads headed through Mogil, deciding it was the best place to watch for enemies. Lo and behold, a few minutes later I see three guys moving in a line SPRINTING down the road. They used no stealth. They ran in, guns blazing, killing all the zombies. At this point, I did not call out. I doubt they were very friendly. They outnumbered and outgunned us, I saw a rocket launcher and two M4/16's of various models. One had a ghillie, and one wore black (on my screen). I am not talking, but I am close enough to barely make out their conversation. Ghillie suit finds our abandoned jeep, and they decide to fan out to look for us. I try to get my friend to come back, but to no avail. I simply hide and watch as my poor friend gets killed mercilessly. Then comes the awesome part; ghillie suit starts to drive the abandoned jeep to where our current jeep was, and due to communication issues, rocket launcher guy decides to destroy the spare jeep. With a rocket launcher. :P I figured, screw it, not worth dying. I start to leave, when an incredible thing happens. The "rocket launcher guy" backs up, takes aim at the unoccupied UAZ, RIGHT as the original abandoned UAZ pulls up. The guy wearing black, apparently deaf, got into the currently UNOCCUPIED UAZ, not realizing it was slated for demolition. The rocket launcher guy fires, and manages to kill both of his allies. He looks stunned and I quietly step out of my hiding spot and put three M1911 rounds into his head as he attempts to draw his main weapon. I lived in glorious loot heaven. True story bro. Once in a million. XP And none of them had time to D/C :P

Probably the Worst Fail I've Seen Bandits Do

I just wish I could have got the rocket. I've never found one before.

You Say Bandits Are So Awesome... NO WAY

Haha, trust me, I suck. I rarely get past the AK-47 phase. When I had guys delivering Ghillie and M4 basically direct to me, I was psyched.

Finding Nemo - Looking for someone?

Looking for a very shady character in ragtag clothes. Greenish-tint skin and an awful smell. I meet the guy, lower my weapon, and all of a sudden this guy is attacking me. I pulled up my gun but it was too late. If you know where this mofo is, please give me his name. Z something.

    Surrender Emote

How about a simple emote bound to an unused key (ie "4") that would have you holster your weapon, drop to your knees, and place your hand behind your head. It would clearly demonstrate friendly/harmless intentions (you are placing yourself at the mercy of the other player). I don't think any special bandit/survivor skin is necessary, killing somebody dropping their arms is just plain despicable.
  17. G0V3RNM3NT4L

    Would this work?

I don't need to outrun zed, I just need to outrun Fred!

    New option for loot locations

Making a Zed seem as a farm basically ruins the point. It makes it as if the zombies simply "prepare" you for PvP. Not the direction I want this game to take. As such, I am no longer killing anybody. I will blow their legs off with a shotgun, drop a smoke, and spare their lives.

    Surrender Emote

You just made my day, sir. Stereotypes for the win.
  20. The Russian fits with the theme... American washed up on a distant shore after a boat crash...

    Not so Enjoyable.

It's just a steep learning curve. They should put that in the requirements.

Defenseless in a Hostile World 2

Just hang on bro, and loot is random. What might be a jackpot one time will probably be a pos pile the next 999 times you visit it. And keep AWAY FROM THE CITIES! Get a hatchet, a knife, and a matchbox and run into the eerie woods. Kill animals with the hatchet, cut down wood using the axe, and cook the meat using the campfire resulting from matches + wood. You can always find deer stands, which offer VERY good guns! Hope I helped bro! Also, signing your forum posts might get you frowned upon around here. We see your name.

    Defenseless in a Hostile World

The problem is, when people spawned with weapons, it was a slaughterhouse on the beach. You couldn't get off. And it may seem hard now, but later finding loot is MUCH MUCH easier when you know where to look. It's just a steep learning curve. Look up some vids on youtube.

I think the Glock does too... not sure.

    M4A3 CCO

Most of the time we just end up doing things that requires a light and a gun at the same time. I play on a foreign server so every time I play with my friends it's night and we do night ops. Once you see a target, suddenly shining a flashlight can be a good way of scaring them.
