Your hard disk is dying. Back up any and all important data. Attempt to run a chkdsk at a command prompt (administrator) with the following command: chkdsk c: /f

    FPS Drop In Main Cities

Manually set your video memory by selecting "Default" in game and then editing your ArmA2OA.cfg file to enter your amount of video memory in the LocalVRAM= line (sorry, not on a machine with ArmA2 installed, so the line might be worded slightly differently). The entry needs to be made in bytes.

Help with FPS OR VIDEO SETTINGS ):

Your graphics adaptor does not meet the minimum requirements for this game. Full stop. If you are running a desktop, look at getting a video card (everyone will have an opinion on which one is better), specifically something from the newer generations of NVidia or AMD/ATI.
  5. I had the same issue, and would get crashes to desktop when trying to load single player missions. The last time I was able to get in I actually had DayZ content loading in the Operation Harvest Red campaign: http://cloud.steampo...3BEC50E5847754/ I renamed my ArmA2 directory and then did a fresh reinstall from Steam, thereby having one directory for DayZ and one for vanilla. When I want to play vanilla I rename the directories so that Steam launches from it, when I want to play DayZ I do the opposite. Clumsy, but functional.
