  1. Locations: We offer 19 locations in the USA, Canada an Europe to ensure no matter where you live there's a location perfect for you. Our DayZ Package offers a perfect combination of ease of use and the ability to FULLY customize your server. Those new to running servers will find the package easy to learn and user. Those with advanced knowledge will find they have access to everything they need to customize ALL aspects of their server. This one package gives you two hive configurations to pick from. Change from one to the other with the push of a button. Vilayer Hive You have the option to connect your server to the Vilayer hive. One of the largest central hive databases outside of the official DayZ Hive. This options gives you the same server to server persistence as the official hive. Player can join your server while maintaining their same character from the previous server. Using the Vilayer hive allows you to have a customized server without the complexity of dealing with the database. We do that for you while giving you an array of tools to customize you server. Pick how many vehicles spawn, pick from 15 maps, set a default loadout, set schedules for server cleanups and vehicle spawning. Private Hive Database You also have the option of running your own private, dedicated MySQL server. This is not a slice of a bigger server like other hosts provide. This is your own private MySQL server that you have FULL root control of. You are not restricted in anyway. The Private Hive Database option also opens up the server files to you. They are yours to customize anyway you choose. All files are easily editable through the control panel or FTP. This gives you the power to customize all aspects of your server. This option also gives you access to our custom designed, fool-proof MySQL tools. Server File Access Along with this you have unrestricted access to all server source files needed to customize your server. The 2 major files being the dayz_server.pbo and mission.pbo. Although almost all other files are available for you to tweak. All server files exist on the server in a decompiled state. You have the ability to edit each individual sqf file directory through the control panel. When you start your server your edits are compiled into their respective pbo files. There is no need to download the file, extract the pbo, make you edits, recompile and upload. Simply open the file, edit and start your server. We have customized our control panel to provide the perfect balance between features and ease of use. This means you can quickly customize your server and have it up and running without being overwhelmed by options you do not need.

  3. Just an update on our new TSW addon. We've formed a new partnership with The Silent Warrior. We're currently co-developing new TSW features available to Vilayer customers. These new features include. Spawn vehicles on server LIVE. They instantly appears in game and are added to world_vehicle and instance_vehicle table. Live repair vehicles. Live edit players inventory. Live kill players on server Live edit of weather effects Live Teleport players and vehicles All of this is done through the normal TSW interface. We're in the process of adding many other new features.
  4. We have now included BEC on our Official Hive DayZ servers for both existing customers and new installs. It can be found in the Addon Manager and all configuration files are in the Configuration Files section.
  5. We're not going to add one to the control panel. We feel our development time is better spent elsewhere because there are far better 3rd party map tools than what most hosts have to offer. With that said we're happy to announce we have just released the very first SERVER SIDE version of The Silent Warrior. Read the description in the Addon Manager to see how to receive the new beta.

  7. Just a quick update. Epoch is now in the control panel with support for 10 maps. We have added 1 click installers for the following addon scripts Custom Loot Tables Animated Heli Crashes Anti-Hack / Admin script Auto Vehicle Refuel Base Building Chernarus Power Plants Dynamic Weather Control Halo Jump Remove Clothes from Bodies Sarge AI Siphon Fuel Self Blood Bag Vehicle Tow/Lift (R3F) We've also corrected the issues I44 and it is now fully working.. We will also be adding a backup/restore server code button in the next few days. This will allow both the mission and server pbo to be backed up at any time. This will allow you to roll back if modifications you make break the server.
  8. Glad we got you sorted. We don't like it when issues happen but we're happy to fix them when they do. We've added some new features to the control panel and there are a bunch more coming. You now have the ability to 1-click install addon scripts which include: Animated Heli Crashes Auto Vehicle Refuel Base Building Chernarus Power Plants Dynamic Weather Control Remove Parts from vehicles Siphon Fuel R3F Tow/Lift They are currently for Chernarus but will be ported to almost all other maps in the next few days. We also have a bunch more in the works. This addon system is completely modular so you can install 1 script or all of them, it doesn't matter. Your server and mission pbo files are dynamically edited by the panel to included the required code. Along with that any required database modifications are automatically inserted into your existing database. We're also adding a server code backup and restore feature. This will allow you to quickly backup your server code before you make edits. If something breaks after you make edits you can roll back the code. Epoch will also be released in the next day or 2. It's already finished and in the control panel but is going through some final tests. We're also looking at adding a "template" mod that can be used to allow customers to install their own mods or mods that are not in our system. It will provide you with access to the -mod= commandline parameter to specify the mods you want the server to start with.

  10. I believe we have you sorted out. If it's the ticket about the server not connecting to the database it should now be resolved. I believe I responded to your ticket as well. If you're the one I'm thinking of you have a Seattle server. There's an issue with one of the Seattle nodes at the moment. We're having a hardware check done on the machine. I don't have an exact ETA but it shouldn't be too long. It comes down to what the exact issue is.

  13. You have a ticket in for this, correct? If that is you I'll work the BEC script over the next day or 2 for independent control. I'll also be keeping an eye on your restarts to see if I can catch one where it doesn't restart to see if I can find the issue.

  16. I'm glad it's working well for you. We try to be very careful about how we balance our servers. We usually keep them because 75% peak resource usage. This leaves enough overhead in case of resource spikes. If a node gets too high on resource usage we disable it for new services and keep an eye on it. The most common thing we hear from new clients is about desync issues from their previous host. We do our best to keep it from happening. There are certain common restart times that jam the task system. Generally offsetting them by 20 minutes does the trick.
  17. Updated the Op. It's been awhile since we have posted. We have completely revamped our Standard DayZ Package. Each server now gets its own dedicated MySQL server with full root access and full file access. We're confident this is now one of, if not the most customizable package available anywhere. Along with access to the server files you can edit both the dayz_server.pbo and mission pbo directory in the control panel. Both pbo files are already decompiled on the server so you can edit each individual sqf file directory in the panel. Each time you start the server both pbos are compiled on-the-fly and include any edits you have made. This saves a ton of time because you do not need to download, extract, edit, compile and upload the pbos each time you edit them. See screenshots in OP to see how the editing looks. We have also added an automated MySQL backup tool that can be scheduled to pull backups as frequently as you want. There is also a companion tool that allows you to restore to any previous backup in a couple of seconds. The restore tool also has a safeguard built in in case there's an issue with the restored backup. It will allow you to revert your last restore to prevent data loss or other issues. There is now a "fool-proof" MySQL password change/recover option. It doesn't matter if you go as far as deleting the root user. This tool will save your database. We're still actively developing for both the package and DayZ in general. In the near future there will be a couple brand new maps that will only be available from us. We're also working on a 1 click installer for many popular addon scripts such as towing, refuel, power-grid, custom debug and anti-hack. If you have script suggestions let us know and we'll look into adding them. This thread may not be monitored on a daily basis.   18. Vilayer Code 6.4 has been released. This update includes several changes and additions. Chernarus updated for 1.7.5.1 Added support for DayZ+ Added support for Isla Duala MySQL performance improvements MySQL replication added throughout entire network New custom loadout tool (coming later today) We have also begun updating all Vilayer created DayZ maps to support 1.7.5.1. These maps include: Fallujah Lingor Panthera Takistan Utes Zargabad As always, before installing the update please uninstall your current map to avoid conflicts. If any bugs are noticed, please submit a support ticket and we will get it sorted out straight away.
  19. They're physical cores which is why we only allow up to 4 cores to be purchased.
  20. Hive Update: At approximately 3am GMT there will be hive downtime for DayZ Package servers on the Vilayer Hive. The downtime will range from 15 minutes to 1 hour. We are setting up MySQL Replication for Westcoast, Dallas, New York, Canada, France, Strasbourg and Luxembourg. There will be no data loss as a result of this change but servers will be unable to connect to the hive during this time. DayZ Package 1.7.5.1: We have been behind schedule this week due to the migration of all of our Master Servers to a more central location between our US and Europe networks. We are beginning work on updating DayZ Package servers to 1.7.5.1 right now. The update will be released later tonight. We will also be starting the process of updating all Vilayer created maps to make them compatible with 1.7.5.1. These maps include Fallujah, Lingor, Panthera, Takistan, Utes and Zargabad. These maps will not be included in tonight's update. There will be a follow up update in the coming days via TC Admin for the server side files and updates via DayZ Commander for client side files.
  21. I believe if you extract the mission file and look in the descriptions.ext you will find it in there. I don't know exactly what it's called but I believe it might be nicepic.paa. If you can't get it to change there, try asking over on www.404games.co.uk. I believe Lee has got this sorted out and shot you a message on Skype. It was a bit of a strange one. Somehow the MAC address assigned to the IP was altered which stopped the IP from working correctly. After updating the MAC address it started to function again.
  22. The bases not saving is a bummer. However It looks like v1.1 will be out pretty soon. It will be nice once everything is sorted out. Once 1.1 is out we'll get it added to the control panel. I have not actually seen how SS have their TC Admin setup. That is the great thing about TC Admin, there are many ways you can configure it. Some people mark it off as generic but it does provide a lot of flexibility if used correctly. ACP should be back up. We're pushing some game server migrations through the system which bogged down the monitor. All should be well now.
  23. We are currently migrating to a new web server. Our website will be down for the next 30 minutes to 1 hour. During this time you will be unable to access our main website or ticket system. Our TC Admin Control Panel will remain up during this time.
  24. 1.7.5.1 Update Official DayZ: We have released 1.7.5.1 for our Official Hive DayZ servers along with beta 101480 and the updated scripts.txt to prevent script kicks. Please note that you will need to submit a ticket to request a new mission file after installing the update. We are currently working on automating the process but until we finish we need to update them manually. Standard DayZ Package: The update will be released a some point Tuesday, Feb 5th. Dedicated DayZ Package: The update will come via DayZ Control Center. Due to how DayZ Control Center functions, manually updating the files will not work. It looks like the the update will be released in the next 1 to 3 days.
  25. That will depend on the specific files they update. If they update any files that you have edited the changes you have made will be overwritten.
