Internet's been off for a couple days.. havent been on here or dayz... Updated everything but am getting a bad version message on any server i try and enter... Anybody know whats up? Or can you point me to a solution? Thanks, Brian

Is it a patch problem or a beta problem?

It seems to me that its a problem that has been going on for centuries, beginning probably with archers. That is the point of snipers. People, in war, when capturing snipers, used to torture the shit out of them, and probably still do. In my opinion, what needs to be done is sniper rifles need to be more pinpointable (the sound I mean), nothing else. I don't know, I don't really think sniper rifles should be nerfed or anything... but I do feel your pain. Here's a story to possibly make you feel better. I, a friend who just started last night, and a friend who started a week ago, decided to teach the newest friend how to loot. :D :D. Anyway, we set it up so that the week in friend was sniping from afar, watching our backs while we hit up the east of Mogilevka. We're in the red brick house (the last of our loot spots before we bounce) and he says "Oh shit, is that you outside?", and Im like "Negative". So he takes two shots... misses. Me and V, I'll call her, hit the floor in the brick building and I freak out thinking she is him, shoot at her, miss, but give away our position. (He had been running to our building to get away from the sniper fire. Now three zombies are agroed on my sniper, and we're stuck in the red house. Long story short, we make it most of the way out of trouble, only to run into another dude who must have heard the sniper fire and come in from the south east. I get shot and killed, V then goes down next, and finally my friend watches as these two dudes fight each other, the winner of which finds my sniper and kills him. Bottom line, we suck... but snipers dont always win :D:D

happened to me too... but it was placed in the most obvious spot ever... and there was nothing good inside so i didnt really care. That being said, a lot of people avoid looting cities now and just look for camp sites. So its not necessary for players to leave anything when looting a tent... just sayin'

The disturbing thing to me is that nobody seems to care that he was trying to change his gamma. There are certain things that real men will never do... changing your gamma is one of them... grandpa taught me that.

It will only get better. There was an interview with Rocket the other day where he said he wants to implement security systems into the game. You could then potentially set up a camp that was very difficult to enter and loot. He also wants to implement underground bases. So that will someday make it easier to hide ones items. I feel your pain Rek, but it just has to be this way.

It was outside the supermarket in zelenogorsk and I could hear another guy shooting. There were also a buttload of zombies between me and the bike... didnt want to risk shooting so he would know where i was, so i just sprinted to the bike so i could take off. But it wouldnt go anywhere so I got spotted and killed. YES!

I could easily find out for myself, but I dont feel like logging back in and finding my body or any other gun... So, is it possible? I was sitting on the edge of a forest with my friend a bit behind me scoping the street and forest across the street out. All of the sudden a huge bang bang (sounded like my AKM, and like it was right next to me, not from afar) and I die immediately. My friend said he just took off into the woods. I don't know, it could have been someone across the street but I dont know why they wouldnt have hunted my friend down. Whatchu think?

The Governor Surround a city (like Guglovo) with razor wire and tank traps with a fighting ring in the middle where zombies spawn. Put guards all around the city and force newcomers to fight the zombies for their way into the village (or just to entertain the fellow villagers). Although I guess this is every team/clan's dream end goal in a way...

I used to tell myself I'll never kill anyone unless they shoot at me... but people shoot so quickly now I just shoot people cuz they might find me, either now or later... Ill always be friendly if i say im friendly over direct command, but if theres no dialogue, my gun has to speak for me. (that was corny)
