  1. Probably best to report it officially through the feedback tracker. I've seen sporadic reports of this. My only suggestion is to use a filter to stick to one particular set of servers (e.g. MDGS).

Server hopping is killing the game

I'm fairly certain they intend for players to retain their gear from server to server. Your solution removes an amazing feature to deal with a defect which can be dealt with in much more specific ways.

    Here's a good place to start :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_unit_tactics

Alphas don't die because of a lack of features, poor design, or gamebreaking defects - they get better. The purpose of "playing" DayZ right now is to test the Standalone and provide feedback, which is a service to Rocket and his team. You've provided feedback, yay! Unfortunately in this case, you're not saying anything new to SA or even the mod. This has been a problem as long as DayZ has existed. I'm confident they'll resolve it eventually.

    Balota loot problem?

The primary method for balancing high quality loot locations should be ingame threats: Zombies. When 1) zeds respawn and 2) there are a lot more of them, especially at military locations, server hopping will be a lot more scary (landing in the middle of 20 zeds? I don't think so); people also will be far more likely to work together to loot them. They need to be impossible for a fresh spawn without any weapon, and difficult for teams of people with melee weapons. People who have guns already should be able to clear it easily, but it will be more costly and there's no guarantee of more ammunition being found.
  6. I've been tempted to do this so many times. Unfortunately, I play mostly with family - I couldn't really look at them across the Thanksgiving Dinner table after a stunt like that... ps Anyone who says they've never been tempted to do it, at least once, is most likely lying. The rest of you saints get a cookie.
  7. I'm a big fan of "the minecraft model", personally. It's enjoyable for me to take part in a creative process, something that iterates as I experience it. It has potential to really keep it interesting.
  8. The comment about improving the quality of the interior of buildings is also very cool. Maybe there will be more than 5-6 building types!!!
  9. http://dayzdev.tumbl...egration-begins I just wanted to make sure this was linked over here, as I don't see any existing links to it. I definitely appreciate the update, and it sounds like they're making some real progress in laying the groundwork for a solid new game! :D

Are tents savable now on 2.6???

http://dayzmod.com/f...rolling-update/ Changelog: * [NEW] Bear trap has chance to spawn on infected hunters * [FIXED] Graphical glitches with dead bodies (Bodies should now not display graphical glitches) * [NEW] Three UI options available: Default (indicators only), Debug (indicators + debug window), None (only base ArmA2 UI) * [FIXED] Converting between magazine types resets ammo count (Now only contains previous number of rounds) * [FIXED] Vehicle and tents not saving (Now they save correctly) (* Missed from original build notes accidentally*)
  11. You explained it well, minus the picture ;) Have some beans.

Zombies should be removed from DayZ

Actually, I think they did this already! It's called ARMA2!
  13. I gave you beans because you made me giggle on a tuesday morning - thanks!

fix for getting sent back to the coast

Write a quick batch script that deletes the folder and then runs whichever app you use to launch DayZ - solved. :P
