Happened again, this time on a private hive (not a white listed one) Got it on fraps this time. I guess the music was in my head but this is the same exact hack. -

I stopped playing DayZ months ago because of the rampant hacking, it was ridiculous. I decided to re-install today and see how things were. 5-10 minutes of being on a server (74.91.115.145:2322/US 1992 hosted by overclock.net) Text starts flying across the screen, my guy starts dancing, opa gangnam style music starts playing, a huge banner across the bottom of my screen appears saying you can't stop me hahaha! over and over. My weapons disappear and I have some other weapon (I had a Bizon PP and an M249) I alt F4'd out of the game in a panic. Now every time I attempt to join a server I am banned for an illegal weapon (AS50 AWS something or other) I can't get rid of it and I can't play on anything but a private hive, what the hell am I supposed to do? Fucking hate people sometimes.

All I have to do to fix is close the game and reload, the glitching is gone in that area then. -

I can confirm this, happened to me a bunch since 1.7.2.4, even when it's pitch black they can see or hear you from far away and god forbid you fire a gun, jesus christ! -

Does this to me as well, but on fire stations and another type of building. One thing that "seemed" to work for a while was turn switch my HDR to very high and bck to normal or vice versa. I have an ATI 6950 -
Killcam with name? rofl It's bad enough that servers with nametags are even allowed up and you want killcams too?

I think the OP means certain aspects of the ACE mod not just a straight DAYZ+ACE=fun Certain enhancements from ACE could be tremendous for the immersion in Day Z Enviromental effects - mostly the rain as currently the weird sheets thing is a little ..weird looking. Dogtags - i think in the case of DayZ bandits could cut ears from people like the true psychopaths they envision themselves as Fast switching - 'nuff said, the animations for this are so laborious right now Jump - Running through town, zombies hot on your heels?stop, press V, wait for animation get hit while doing so, legs break and you bleed to death. Irl I would be leaping that mother no doubt. Overheating (guns) - Makes sense right? Penetration - I think there is penetration already in DayZ as ive killed zombies through bits of wood with the Mk48, not sure though. Weapon Jamming - (M16's im looking at you lol) weapon bipods and resting - Bandits should like this as they sit half a mile away with an M107. The overheating, jamming and bipods/resting might be a bit to "military" for day Z though, so don't get all crazy over those suggestions.

Modification of the hide body mechanic

Just to clarify, this mechanic would only effect players, you would still be able to hide zeds under pebbles and blades of grass. I don't think it would add anything meaningful to the game if it was applied to both. A good example, gunfight in the fire station with 2 dead, so we closed the doors and hid the bodies in the middle of an empty bare floor. Imagine how much more tense it would be if we had to open the doors and drag the bodies out to dispose of them so they couldn't get their gear back. You know what would be lovely though, for the nice people among us.. graves, the ability to dig a proper grave for some poor soul. Touching. Grave in Day Z = a dirt pile -
I'm not a fan of how the current mechanic works, "hide body" and they disappear no matter where they are, it is fairly unrealistic. What I propose could be done? Add the drag body option (drag corpse) to the context menu on mouse wheel, if you want to hide someones body then you will need to put in some effort. Add certain location types where a body can be buried/hidden, similar to how you can only chop wood in "forested areas" but not in small clumps of trees or stand alone trees. Make it so they have to drag the body to a forested, dense brush or similar location (for rural areas) In cities there are piles of garbage and stuff all over, make it so you can stuff/hide a body in there as well. Maybe add a decomposing/being eaten mechanic to the zombies, where if they are in x radius of a body they MAY be attracted to it and start eating the corpse, possibly only for a period of time and they wander off again. Maybe the corpse can have an internal "health" meter which depletes over time and with zombie munchings on it? Add a search for body mechanic, make it a little time consuming maybe 20/30 seconds or so? if there are multiple corpses stuffed into one garbage pile then a random chance and pulling a body free which they then have to drag away and then try to loot.

You cannot try to get someone internet lynched without something more concrete than "he is bullying people in ways we cannot describe".
