When popularity surges, it creates an environment ripe for hack authors to sell their warez to the retards who would buy it. In addition, there's just a ton of people out there that love to grief -- their idea of fun is to ruin the game for everyone ... then they will move on to some other game.

Yeah, cheaters have pretty much ruined the experience for me. Pretty much everyone that doesn't manage to kill me is geared out in AS50 TWS and every item possible -- there's just so much item duping and script hacking that it seems like a lot of people have resorted to the cheating just so they don't get burned as bad when a hacker comes along and teleports them. I love the game, but it's not really worth trying to survive until the cheating is dealt with in either the mod or until the standalone version comes out.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't seem to get it (like the OP) -- you have to learn how to play the game ... if you're constantly dying, then you aren't learning from your previous mistakes. -

Until there is a way to determine the identity of all these cheaters who are logging in and nuking an entire server, there isn't going to be any way to report them. We need some kind of client-side log file that contains their player GUID. Right now the whole server gets nuked and there's no way to tell who did it. ROCKET > what is being done to address this problem? If this rampant cheating isn't stopped soon, DayZ will be labelled as a cheater's game and there will be a mass exodus.

As difficult as it is to get a vehicle running and sustain it, the fact that one player can unload ~10 rounds into your vehicle an make it explode is quite ridiculous. Please consider making vehicles a lot more resilient to small arms fire in terms of catching on fire/exploding.

In regard to updating ... maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about but I run Six Updater and Six Launcher several times and I have the latest of everything installed -- the game works for me and that is all I have ever done.

Accuracy would be interesting stat because efficient use of ammo is key to survival. -
First let me state that I love this mod, thanks for making it! I think player killing is an important part of the game, but it seems like there is a chain-reaction happening right now with player killing -- everyone assumes that everyone is going to kill them so it's shoot first, ask questions later. This is hurting the potential community aspect to the game. One suggestion I have is to implement a natural consequence for murder: blood lust causes excessive hunger and thirst. For example, if I were to murder another player, my hunger and thirst would immediately go into the critical stage (flashing red). To refill, it would take, say, 3 or 4 times as much food and water as usual to restore it back to full. The point here is that it is a costly proposition to murder another player -- so survivors who focus solely on player killing are going to have to scavenge up a lot of food water to sustain themselves other than just the food and water they loot from their victims. On the same token, a player who successfully defends themselves from murder still suffers the same consequences. This is a game, but still ... in a post-apocalyptic world, wouldn't survivors be more inclined to work together than murder every stranger they encountered?

Myself and a few friends are looking to form a group of mature survivors that play in the US region. We enjoy cooperative play and focus mostly on non-coastal exploration. We can assist new players with survival strategies and learning the game. We do not kill other players unless we are fired upon or threatened.
