Skype works similarly to a phone call, so you'll launch it alongside the game, call the person you want, and don't have to do anything afterwards. You can adjust the level of your mic, and the level of the skype output in order to balance it with the game sounds in the Tools menu. Skype is quit nice as long as you chat with one, or two people (conference option), the sound quality is nicer than a Teamspeak which is designed for larger groups of voice chat.

At the NWA firestation where i retreaded after attracting lots of zombies, decided to stop wasting my AK ammo on them, and tossed a grenade in the stairs to the floor below. Somehow the explosion went through and instantly killed me. Guess that i certainly looked hilarious from the outside of the building while blowing myself up.

What you are talking about is completely self-evident, and an obvious fact. Where is your point ? What you can't seem to understant is that complaining about bugs won't make them disappear. People fixing this on their free time may have other things to do, and are note devoted to debugging 24/7. You're not facing a goddamn company, with a bunch of guys paid for sitting 9 hours a day in front of their screens to improve the mod. I don't know where Rocket spends his days to make a living right now, it seems he was working before on mutliplayer features at Bohemia's, now his position certainly evolved and i guess he's still having approximately the same schedules, at Bohemia's HQ somewhere in Praha. If i'd knew, i'd certainly pay him a pint or two of a nice czech beer. Working on game development all the day, and keep on doing it on your spare time can be quite tiring, or even tiresome. The fact is that a MOD is rarely developped by companies, it is MADE by passionate people on the time they can afford to devote to a gaming project. So why the fuck keep on bitching about it ? If the present state of the mod isn't good enough for you to have some nice time, wait for another updates. If it isn't good then, play another fucking game.

Great news, congratulations to you Rocket, that's well deserved. I've never been more enthusiastic waiting for a game to come out. If you guys go into the directions you suggested some time ago, with fortificating enabled, and more open buildings this will just be a goddamn crazy stuff. I'm already thinking of what a season evolutive environment would look like, too... Tracking survivors in the snow, following footprints. A nice can of beans in a sunny afternoon on a roof, that's how it's meant to be !

I had the update installed through Sixlauncher, and was stuck on loading... Manually installed using the link Rocket provided in his first post, and it worked. For half an hour though, and i got kicked with the same message as everyone about BattleEye failing to update.

Yup. It seems quite logical to be able to switch to melee quickly. Sometimes i get a little frustrated not being able to hit Z with my gun butt.

I had just restarted a character near Elektro, and went to loot the supermarket on the north-east side of the city. Making my way from the back of the shop, i pick up a crossbow but find no bolts, and head to the front of the shop, where i hear some really close gunshots. Ok, i just think that droping my helpless weapon to the ground will give me a less threatening look, so i just move empty handed and try to locate where the shooter is from inside the shop. At this moment i notice a bolt on the ground, a few feet from the entrance of the shop. And there a female survivor shows up, and stops at the entrance of the shop as soon as she sees me, crouching on the opposite side. I just have the time to say "Don't shoot, friendly" and she starts to fire, so i just make my way to the back door, shouting and grieving. She empties her Makarov clip and manages to hit me one time. I hear her following and firing behind me, and i get another bullet and start bleeding. I just have the time to pick up the crossbow again and retreat a building away. I bandage myself and decide to make a run in order to pick up the bolt and get some revenge, even if i can't kill her. Allright, she really pissed me off, and seems to be a real sharp shooter, i hear her fire at least half a clip on every zombie she encounters outside. I reload my weapon, with one and only bolt, the gunshots are coming from a short distance and i can follow her just bu checking corpses lying on the ground. She's going to the firestation. As i approach, i see her getting down the stairs in the tower, so i just rush inside and drop to the ground, thinking i'll have a nice time aiming for her head with those shitty ironsights. After a few seconds, she shows up, holding an AKM, and stops just in the doorway as she sees me aiming at her. Unfortunately, she had to change for her handgun as she had no ammo, giving me some time to shoot her in the forehead. She died in a strange and dramatic glitchy way, at first frozen standing with a nice stream of blood flowing from the head, i just thought, crap, it wasn't enough to kill her, i'm over. But she progressively slided a few feet away, droping to the ground as the fly sound started.
