IMO even after SA will comes out DayZ mod will stay alive - because its kinda good place to test things before implement them in SA. ofc there will be huge people drop on first days but some of them will come back to mod later.

:) Dayz IS masochists game and lots of people loves it. Dayz is soo clumzy, full of bugs and glitches, close combat is totally stupid - but is it stop people of playing it? If Dayz would be made on BF3 or COD engine but maps from Arma - do you think Dayz would be same success as is is now ? - dont think so

what I cant understand why so many people saying Dayz should be FUN game ?! IMO Dayz SHOULD NOT BE FUN game... its should be fuc$#@ pain in as$ fun games are L4D, COD, BF3, CS, WarZ..... so on Dayz should be totally different story. Yes Arma/Dayz have millions bugs and glitches, movement is clumzy , zeds are fast and zigzaging noobs, yes this is stupid that i cannot switch weapons in 1 second and to take hatchet i need to drop weapon .... but look how many players still plays Dayz. Make it "perfect" and people will not play it.

I guess you have never played DZS (dynamic zombie sandbox) mod - in that mod zeds are really pain in ass! - you can run of them ofc but fighting horde of zeds is painful, even more when you know - 3 hits and you are dead. Improved walkers :D yeah sounds very dangerous ... If I will fall asleep from boring then yeah they are super dangerous. walkers can be dangerous only if they are 1000 attacking at once and you running out of ammo. Or they trapped you very narrow corridor. But yeah i agree - Hardcore KOS(ers) will not stop even if zeds will move in light speed and will be able to kill you from 10m. They saw player they shoot and does not matter they got killed 3 seconds after they shoot

Zombies should be slowed down?! really ?! then Dayz will become most stupid and boring gamemod ever made. Threat of zombies are close to zero even if he see me 500m away I don't care .. If I have hatchet i will kill him. I never standing still while aggroed zed standing near me - ofc hes doing something and sooner or later will hit even if animation is not showing that. What I think - zeds should become 2x faster and more danger that will piss off noobs with sniper rifles but ok I agree with this "You need to have more interaction with the world, some buildings let you close doors, however the zombies walk right through them which is dumb and you have these big open windows and you cannot vault out of them"

restarted to play Dayz and noticed that I have good old "Dayz feelings" back. but there is only one rule - stay out of Cherno or Elektro. There are just huge number of noobs who first shoot and then ask questions. But good thing is - these cod/bf kids just cannot imagine that map can be huge and there is no borders around city. every thing lil up north is good "old time" Dayz - and people there seems more mature, there is some bandits but there is also good peoples too - who will help you if needed. But what i would like implemented in DayZ SA is stats. ok Rocket can remove stat that shows how many ppl you have killed but I would want to see like how many zeds killed with axe,revolver,AK ..... etc. btw do not understand that hero skin - i have one but what should be done to get it ? Is it only because I have not killed any player ?

btw I have not seen any helicopter crash sites are they removed ?

yes absolutely, and when something happens unexpected you make bricks :) It is way more fun to meet some stranger in Petrovka or some other strange place. Usually when you have went that far you somehow more scare of getting killed and you know that person you met feel the same. when you PvPing in cherno or electro only thing what pissing you off is that you need to run those 300m back to city. for most of dayz players ideal dayz would be map size of cherno with very slow or standing zeds. + action like in cod

good to know - than its more challenge to get hero skin than bandit skin :) I guess its mean if you meet hero than it is less chance to get killed

Well i found playing 1-2 hours in 2 days is even more interesting than playing nonstop 24/7 ... just from survival aspect. You know when you log in alone you are not aware of situation what is going on - you don't have friends group there and only enemies are zombies Every people you meet on way make you ask yourself - is he a friend/enemy - what i should do kill,hide or run away ... its way too more adrenalin you can get this way. When you play nonstop you know everything - ok here is my 20 people friend group - here is our base/tents cars etc ... we are geared 100% of what we can get from game ... what now ?! - making FUN of Dayz like doing stupid ass things and LOLing on bugs etc ... <- this is not what I expect from Dayz standalone. I expect really HARDCORE survival game were every wrong move can be lethal and does not matter you are freshspawn or fully geared 24/7 player -

is there any changes in SA what I have missed ? - is there permadeath removed and implemented Level system ? because as Dayz is now you can play 24/7 or 10 min in a day result will be the same - back on coast line as freshspawn. Really don't see a point of this thread - what solution wanted? I am casual player, can play only 10 hours in a day so Rocekt must give me 50% of found-able gear on spawn !? ... I am playing Dayz like 30min in a day and i can fully gear up in 2 days on 3 day i am getting bored and starting to shoot people. PEOPLE just for information Chernoruss is not only Elektro or Chernogorsk there is lots of other places to go and loot stuf -
I like that - positive players will be easier to spot :) while bandits will be invisible in bushes

hmm I guess i am the only one who never go to elektro and cherno when freshspawned. I usualy heading to center of map, with shity gear and low on food and water its changing to survive there. I like being in places were you not expecting lots of people - it always make me think what to do if I met one in middle of nowhere. Shoot, get friend or just stay low and wait he leaves. Elektro, cherno or NWAF in 99/100 is kill or be killed.

there is blood trail in Arma 3 but not sure for how long it stays. anyway you should get very, very, very dirty to left footprints more then 100m even when you step in small water - footprints is max 20m -

yeah agreed, it could be fun if snipers get ACEd :) sniping with ace is more fun it make you feel like a sniper, with out ace its like noobing with better optics -

Dayz will be zombie survival game right ? So to create zombie apocalypse atmosphere there should be fog, clouds rain maybe ... so imo there is no point of making VD more then 2000m even this is almost to much. I want old Dayz where I was more scare of zeds then some noob cemper sniper ..... -

here my option if you want to buy Arma2 just for Dayz mod - you will not be happy because Dayz mod is not same Dayz what was in its first days. if you want to buy Arma2 and play also Dayz mod you will not regret. Because Arma2 comes with huge amount of other good stuff (Wasteland, Domination, Takistani life ....) and they all are free of charge. And if you dont like them you can easy create what ever you want in Arma2 built in editor (you should not be guru programmer). -

Arma 3 comes out as alpha on 5.03.2013. Moding in A3 alpha will be totaly welocome. So I am 100% sure Dayz as mod will be on A3 alpha very soon. And there will be A3 engeene, user made content,ragdoll, hackers VS A2 engeene, clumzy movement, less hackers. A3 alpha will cost only 25 euro (full game after relise included) What you will choose ?

Server hopping in SA - not big deal. There will be noobs 100% who will do that but I dont see HUGE problem here - let them do it. They can spend hours hooping servers and getting gear and then get killed as soon will leave the house, area what ever, with pistol ... and thay are back in spawnzone. If they are not hackers I don't care much about them. I have killed lots of them in beginning of Dayz, I will kill a lot of them in SA - call me a noob bandit - I will call you a noob server hopper :D

No no he is right - A3 alpha comes out with Stratis map which is 20 km2. Full game will come out with Altis 270km2
