So you want DayZ, but it's $30.

    You're an idiot.

    Girls

This teenage attention grabbing is ridiculous. Grow the fuck up.

    General Weapon Poll

I want more low-tech gear that's easily maintainable. It doesn't make sense to me that Average Joe can operate a freaking anti-material rifle without breaking every bone in his shoulder, even if he has a military background. More shotguns, more hunting rifles, more pistols (especially revolvers) and more ex-Soviet gear. This fictional nation is a former Soviet republic, after all.
  4. They only despawn during a server restart.
  5. I can't tell if they spawn aside from me not finding one in the last few days but the one I'm wearing for about a week now is still there. :D

    ZealD's new Inventory System

Made my day. I'm sorry for you, buddy. I'm sorry.
  7. Well, no wonder I didn't hit the broad side of a barn at 600m with that rifle. Literally, there was a guy next to a barn at around 600m and he didn't even notice me shooting at him.
  8. Wow, you are so jealous, incredible.
  9. I've been wearing mine since I found it in 1.7.2 and had no problems whatsoever. I did not play for 2 days, though.

    DayZ Stories

A short: Yesterday, I threw a green smoke grenade straight up the air in the middle of Vybor. It landed on top of a house and slowly continued to produce a dense cloud. All of a sudden, I hear this horrible sounds of something collapsing, only to find out that the building's roof did just that. While laughing uncontrollably, I see the first death message in the bottom left corner, asking myself if that guy just happened to be in there. As I was just about to move towards the building to check the interior, I see one of the wall of this two story building come down in a thunderstorm of debris and noise and I see another "X has been killed". After the smoke from the collapse started to disappear, I made my way inside and find two bodies. I check them and it was the two guys. Didn't get any murders/kills for it but probably the best laugh I've had in this game. Smoke grenades, ladies and gentlemen.

    Aiming receptacle disappeared???

It's reticle, I'm sure somebody pointed you that way already, though.
  12. Ha! Had the best laugh in weeks. Zombies overpowered? My ass, this is like skeet shooting.
  13. Nay to punishment! It's unbelivable that people who don't want PvP in this game even exist. Imagine this: PvP is punishable. You walk across the beautiful landscape of Chernarus and realize that it's been quite some time since your taste buds had the pleasure of enjoying the silky texture of beans. As the hunger indicator starts to turn red, so does your temper--you need some god damn beans, ASAP. So, you make your way over to the nearest town, search one house after the other, finding nothing but empty cans, teasing you with the slight scent of your favorite grub. But there comes a survivor, you're saved! You make your way over to the supposed good Samaritan and beg him for salvation but, hey, what's that? He tells you he basically carries a delicatessen in his backpack but you ain't gonna have none, buddy. The sound of him munching one can after the other right in front of you is the last thing you hear while the hourglass runs out. Another one bites the dust. That is griefing, fellas.

    Forrest Fire?

I'm in for it, now if I could only pour some of that gasoline from my jerrycan into one of those empty whiskey bottles and make molotov cocktails... :D
  16. Oh, hell yeah. I got a camp full of all kinds of neat weaponry (Mk48 mod. 0, L85, SVD and many more) but the only gun I ever use is the AKM. It just feels... sufficient. After all, we're in an imaginary country in the former Soviet Block, why not accept the local customs? ;) I guess I don't pack more heat because I don't want anybody else getting my gun in case I die, not that I can not have it anymore since I don't use my stuff anyway. I will be very disappointed once my camp gets plundered. :D

    Forrest Fire?

I'm sure it's hackers, yes. Saw just the same thing west of Cherno (which translates to east of Balota) and in lots of other places. I even spawned in Elektro once while it was completely on fire, couldn't see it while I was inside but when I walked away from the town center, it was light as day all of a sudden and I turned around only to see that Elektro seems to have switched to traditional means of producing energy. I walked back into town, the flames disappeared again and I did not receive any damage. Pretty weird.
  18. The OP seems to be very excited considering the markup of his wall of pointless text.

    Has Anyone Seen this Man?!??!

Hahaha, he even plays the music from American Psycho, holy shit!
  20. Logging out to prevent dangerous situations is just like buying a $60 game and playing it on easy difficulty. In both cases you have no reason whatsoever to complain about low difficulty because you are the one responsible for it since you chose the easy way.

    Fun times.

Now that you mention it... hahahaha!

Any tips to help stop getting lost?

Here's a few landmarks I use to navigate through Chernarus: roads (turns, curves etc.) elevation (slopes, hills, mountains etc.) flora (woods, groves, lone or rows of trees) I left out the obvious ones like road signs. In general, I can only advise you to learn to properly read a map. That sounds pretty hostile but it's not meant like that. About clouds... funk me. I read about that when I started playing a few weeks ago but completely forgot about it.
